Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
These guidance notes are written to cover different types of washer. Bosch is the first! They also cover various problems ;-0)
-------------------------------------
Remove the complete drawer. To do this you will have to do one of the following-

  • Top catch- push down the lip/catch at the middle rear and pull the drawer out (that's how our Bosch one is removed)
  • release the catches underneath (our daughter's Indesit) or
  • lift upwards on the tray as it is coming out to clear the lip underneath.
One of these should enable you remove it
(I am having to guess some of the following!)
Once out identify which tray is for the conditioner- the others are simply 'chutes' and open-ended.
It will normally have some sort of cover over it which you must remove to expose the little stuck up pipe/tube. On some models there is just a small individual cap over the tube. The tube is down which the conditioner and water should siphon. It is likely to be blocked by 'gunge'- a mix of powder and conditioner. The whole of the tray, particularly this pipe and the bit which fits over it, must be completely clean and clear for it to operate correctly. It is worthwhile checking fairly regularly.
If this does not work, pull out the dispenser drawer far enough to be able to just see the softener tray, select the (final?) rinse and check that water is entering the tray. If it isn't there is a fault with the water distribution and an engineer call is required ;-0(
Good luck,
John C

SOURCE: Detergent drawer filled with water

remove the drawer and clean the siphon it sounds as if it is blocked up either with powder or concentrated fabric softener. this should fill up with water and then empty itself due to gravity. the siphon should look like an upside down cup on a cylinder.

Detergent dispenser is clogged or blocked off, check if there is something blocking the opening or the drawer, try removing the drawer and cleaning the drawer and trays and check the opening for any detergent that may be hardened and blocking it off, especially if you are using powdered detergent. Hope this helps!

Detergent doesn't dispense from the drawer

Remove the drawer and clean it thoroughly, also clean the drawer area of any detergent residue. Check that there is water flow into the drawer from the inlet nozzles above it.
Make sure you are putting the detergent in the correct drawer compartment. If it still persists further investigation of the feed in and out pipes will be required..

When i do a wash i always have a build up of water left in the fabric conditioning drawer which refuses to drain away.

Often this a caused by a simple blockage of detergent towards the back of the drawer.

Most drawers lift out to allow for cleaning please do so and also use a cloth to remove any detergent from the back of the drawer housing.

If this does not work the blockage is internal and you may need to run the machine on empty a few times. (Often filling the detergent drawer with boiling water will help)

It is imperative that you do not put any more detergent into the machine until this blockage is removed.

If none of these solutions work, try a shelf bought limescale remover and use as directed on the bottle.

Water is pouring out of my dispenser drawer

I have read other folks say that this has happened to them when a sock or wash cloth gets stuck behind the rubber seal of the door. There is a pipe that drains the water from your detergent tray and it may be clogged with a sock. Try feeling around behind the rubber seal in proximity to the detergent tray and see if there is a piece of clothing stuck in the pipe that drains the detergent tray. Also remove the tray and check the pipe from that end too.

Have a Miele W320, during the rinse part of wash cycle, water pours from underneath the detergent drawer. What can I do to stop this happening?

Is the drawer gunged up? Are you using too much detergent?

Remove the drawer, and clean it with hot water and a brush.

Look into the empty drawer slot for any blockages and remove.

Replace drawer, try pouring hot water into the open drawer to try to dissolve and clear any blockages.

Consider using a dosing ball and adding detergent to the drum.

Front loader LG washer drawer for detergent is stuck won't open

Remove the top of the washer by removing the 2 retaining screws (phillips head) from the back of the unit & sliding the washer top back about 2" & pulling up. You will see a white detergent dispenser box with several hoses coming off the back in the left front of the unit (this box contains the detergent drawer). The lid to this box is held on by 8 pressure snap clips. You only need to release the 4 snap clips (3 large, 1 small at the rear) on the right side of the box (nearest the washer drum). Pull up on the right side of the lid while pulling out on the detergent drawer. It should come out normally. Do not reassemble until you read below, then reverse the steps to put the washer back together.

The problem will be the "softener" lid (blue). It will not be sitting down in the drawer assembly & will catch on the lid of the white detergent dispenser box. Simply remove the blue lid to avoid future jambs. It only serves to identify the fabric softener recepticle & it keeps fabric softener from splashing around when water enters the system. You may need to remove the entire detergent drawer periodically to clean (push down on the blue thumb indent inside the drawer to release it from the housing).

Hope this keeps you from drilling through the lid & ruining a $23 part, like I did.
