Question about Washing Machines
It sounds like the machine is a Whirlpool Duet if not a Kenmore Elite and a short circuit problem in the motor control unit (MCU) is detected by the central control unit (CCU). This is the reason the machine is not spinning correctly and fault code F07 is flashed on the display.
Check the wire harness connecting the MCU and the drive motor, the drive motor windings, the wire harness connecting the MCU and CCU, and lastly the MCU itself. The MCU is located on the left of the machine base facing the front of the machine. Remove the MCU from the housing and inspect it visually for short circuit or burn marks.
