I think the switch must be defective not the flexible strip. When you wiggle it maybe the menu switches get disconnected. Samir

I have a Lg 42" lcd tv (42LG3000) TV is wall

White screen with good audio. before buying pcbs & such. try my repair method.. you need to get the lcd unit off the facia & then remove the front lcd metal frame. at the top of the screen you have 2 thin pcbs - chances are that the ribbon cable got at least one track unbonded. first off put some double sided tape under the pcbs to stick then to the frame - that'll take the bend out of those pcbs !! next put cellotape over the ribbon cables. i then cut 6 pieces of sponge 15mm thick & wide as the ribbon cable & glue to the tape on the ribbon at what would be the top edge of the screen (covering the point where ribbon meets pcb).. put the metal frame on top edge first to keep the sponge straight !! put it back together & fire it up. if it still aint working you may need a tcon pcb (little square one at the top). this fixed my 42lg3000 but can work on others with same fault !!

My LCD was first blank(White colour),and now it dosent even work(black colour) help?

Your flat wire / ribbon cable that goes from the LCD display to the main PCB is fractured and split, thus it looses signal and as in your case the split has worsened and you have lost power to the backlight also, which comes from this very cable.
You will need to replace it and it may not come as just the cable but the entire LCD panel.
This is a common fault on many camera's of different makes.

Dell 1905fp No Display ( No Picture) on screen but Power Indicate light stays on green. Or Screen Flickering.

You have either power supply or inverter circuits failure, worst case will be lamps.
Most common failure in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed Dell monitors to get some ideas what goes wrong:
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further.

Monitor stays on for two seconds and cuts off.

First place to look is the caps in the power supply section, look for caps with bulging top, replace all will be best bet even you only find one bad cap. Here are the boards (there are two versions):

Worst case will be bad lamps.

1905FP Monitor Powers up, briefly shows logo, blacks out.

Look inside for bad caps with bulgng tops, worst case will be shorted out transistors in the backlight inverter circuits or bad lamps. Check to see if you do have he 12vdc for the inveter circuits. See example of failed monitors with bad caps here:

My Dell 1905FP 19 monitor went black & green power light flickers

It sound like a short circuit. I had this problem with 1907FP model. It had an USB port on the monitor which got damaged and it was shortening to the groung. In your case it might be a bad internal power supply board.

Dell C640 powers off when lcd is plugged in

There is a possibility that the socket for the lcd ribbon has shorted somewhere, either the socket itself, or the tracks on the motherboard leading to the power supply circuit or video card. If this happens then there is no DIY fix, unless you have PCB cutting equipment or a micro trace pencil. If you are desperate, you can also look into replacing the LCD's power inverter chip. They only cost about $30-40 and may fix the issue if it is blown and trying to pull way too much current.
