1.Your Modem you have with your ISP (Internet Service Provider) has an Ethernet cable coming from it
2.Plug the Ethernet cable into the Internet port of the router.
3.Unless your desktop computer has wifi capabilities (Wireless) your will want to plug an Ethernet cable directly from your Ethernet port of your computer to one of the 4 ports of your router.
4.This will allow you to connect 8 devices wireless around your home with your desktop computer Tethered (Hardwired to your router)
