The drain pump on the motor is leaking, you need to remove control panel, then under the panel there will be 2 brass colored clips, unsnap these and remove them, then the whole cabinet will tip toward you remove the cabinet off the cleats and set aside, the pump will be at the base of the machine in front of the motor, there are 2 clips holding the pump on remove these and the hoses to replace pump, they leak around the motor shaft seal and leak when pumping out

Water leak from the bottom of washer

Hi friend, thank you for your post!

I understand that water is leaking from the bottom of your Frigidaire washer. There are many components that could cause a washer to leak the bellow (gasket), leak from drain hose, drain pump, or water valve. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend having a technician come out to diagnose and repair your appliance. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

I bought an Admiral washer Model No. ATW4475VQ. I bought it from Home Depot. The first washer was delivered, and when I did a load of laundry, water leaked from the bottom of the washer. I did not see any...

It's impossible to tell. from your description.

Usually a new washer is set up with new hoses. If the installers aren't complete idiots that should be good.

You can look at where the water lines come out of your wall and make sure it isn't wet there.

You could also test the water pressure at your house and make sure it isn't extremely high. Sometimes these new units can't take overly high water pressure.

Good Luck!

Whirlpool Gold Ultimate Care II washer is leaking oil and water. Water is not leaking from the hose connection but seems to be coming from bottom of washer, as is the oil. Is it dead?

never dead just depends how much time and money you want to spend
new pump $60.00 dollars
new coupling $22.00
new tub seal $15.00

Water is leaking from the bottom of the machine and will not fill up

Hello,

Your water leak can come from 3 areas:

1) drain hose on back of washer is coming off / splitting / getting loose

2) water pump is leaking (cracked?) or has a gasket that has deteriorated.

3) hose between tub and water pump has come off / split / became loose.

Since your washer isn't able to hold water, it makes it easy to remove the clothes, and lean the washer forward to see what is going on. Most washers' mechanicals can be acessed from either the bottom, or from the back via access panel. The water leaks are generally a pretty easy repair.
