Question about Televison & Video
9E seems to refer to a scratched or otherwise unreadable disc. Though the read problem could actually be with the laser mechanism instead. Try the disc in another player and verify that it is readable.
Here is the Pioneer error code table:
First Digit Errors
Second Digit Errors
0 No major error
1 Antenna not connected
2 Shorted antenna cable
3 RF circuit failure - PLL not synchronized
5 NVM Error
6 Defective CAP or not connected
7 Unknown DSP SW version
0 No minor error
1 CDEC Communication Error
2 SSDEC Communication Error
3 SSDEC No Response (DSP core freeze)
4 No signal/100% BER
5 Not activated
6 Not authorized
You should reset this unit to clear the error.
