Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook
OK here is the problem.
My HP DV9000 Display works Just fine with the battery, graphics are good everything works, but as soon as the AC power cord is plugged in the screen starts to go crazy and then goes out. Here is the strange part. I can boot into Safe Mode with the AC cord in and it has no problems, I can also get to the setup screen with the AC in.no problems
Here is what has been trid so far with no luck,
1. Static disharge paower button for 30 seconds.
2. deleted Power Mgmt Reinstalled
3. deleted &reinstalled & updated graphic drivers.
4. Replaces power brick getting correct voltage
5. Checked Power Jack its fine correct voltage to mother board. of course it works in safe mode so has to be getting power.
HP suggestedreflashing the BIOS but the Flash program wont work in safe mode and wont flash the bios just on battery.
Hope there's some help out there its got me stumped.
Did u find a solution for this problem? I got a dv9000 with exactly the same problem as u have...

Have you checked whether the Power Adapter of your Notebook is a 65 Watt or 90 Watt ??
If you are connecting a 65 Watt adapter with the Notebook, try wiht a 90 watt one from any other Notebook if available..
Notebooks with Nvidia Graphic card need a 90 Watt Power adapter to supply the adaquent power required for the Graphic Card and a 65 Watt adapter may not be able to supply the required power.
