Most of the time it is a tube fuse, that is less than 5 amps. The fuse should have small writing on the metal to indicate what it actually is.
Good Luck!!!

I need to know what type fuses i need for the turn signals

For your vehicle it should carry either ATO or Mini type fuses, if in doubt, take out the fuse from your car and take it to the auto parts store, as they can help you find the right fuse type and amps.

if you are not sure of the fuse amperage, buy the multi pack, which will have fuses with variety of amps, keep in mind the type, size and shape should be same.

Most if not all, automotive fuses are 12 Volts fuses.

The repair manual, Car owner's manual, the dealership can help you find out the fuse specs, and fuse box location(s) for your car.

A fuse puller or needle nose plier is helpful for servicing of the fuse.

ATO type fuse looks shaped same as the mini fuse, but larger in physical size.

MINI type fuse shaped same as the ATO fuse, but smaller in physical size.

Your vehicle may have a defective Fuse,Relay,Bulb, Bulb Connector, that is causing the malfunction.

Also check for bad connections, but don't forget to check the switch assembly, check for dust and spray it out with can of compressed air, found at computer shops.

Apply electrical grease to help keep moisture out and keep it working properly for long time trouble free.

Have a nice day.

How to fix siemens microwave oven

replace the fuse inside will be a 10 AMP type
use the correct type look on it for numbers and also size it up
get them from ebay

then replace the 'de-fuser' plate inside
its a flat panel made from silver mica you need just usually to remove a screw

most often a hole appears and it turns to carbon then it starts too cause problems and the fuse fails

or someone puts a metals something in it

so take the top off find the fuse and replace it and check the mains supply fuse on the cord plug

good luck be safe and use the right type of fuse

It takes a 1amp 12v. buss fuse. (the short one). Buss fuses are small glass tubes with metal caps on the ends.

Amp blowing fuse when keyed up mic

what size fuse are you using? take the wattage / voltage = amp size you need.
ie... 12watts divide by 12 volts equals 1 amp.
or 60watts/12volts=5amps
but this is a estimate range. theres always surge amps that can be added etc..
rule of thumb.
40ch only types need 2amp-5amp.
the export styles and SSB40ch will need 5amp -8amp

1.25 A F3 FUSE INTERMITANTLY BLOWS ON THIS 4 MAGNETRON MODEL. ANY SUGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED. DAVE

A 1.25A Fast Blow fuse may blow if it it feeding the low voltage tramsformer and the mains is noisy or dirty.
I will not suggest a different type of fuse as it is a safety issue and you should look at getting a service engineer to check it out.

Renting old house with old power box uses 'plug in fuses' , doesnt have cut off safety switch ,i heard that i can by circut breakers to stop any surges and plug them into fuse box ,does that sound right ?...

Wow, all due respect, but someone would really be negligent to offer you a solution to this problem. An electrical panel isn't something to mess with, especially if you're asking these type of questions. Contact a professional electrician in your area or run the risk of electrocuting (that's DEAD by electricity) yourself. Good luck, and please be safe.

The time delay fuse blew...I need to replace it but list the fuse

Fuses are designed to protect systems, TD fuses are also termed AS (anti surge) these are designed to absorb the surge from the transformer or other components within the amp.

It is very important to replace the fuse with the same size and type, as this will maintain the systems safety design. Wrong size and type of fuses can cause fires.

Now, it is possible that the circuit board has an ID (indentity print) on it, have a good look with a torch, it may well be marked. If not then contact the maker support team they will be able to help you. have the size (20mm or 1.25inch) ready, the model and serial number of the amp ready when you call anybody for help.

Hope this helps, thanks for using FixYa

Thermal Fuse

The thermal fuse is usually located near the lamp to prevent the lamp overhaeting and damaging the set. Sony uses two types of thermal fuses: the first type is a circular metal type, about the size of a quarter with two metal tabs for push on lugs that connect to the TV. The second type is a small plastic half moon type woth wires coming from the base. Contrary to what you might read elsewhere on this site, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you mount the new fuse where the old one was, for safety reasons.

Car alarm in-line fuse

What type of alarm system is it? The size of the fuse varies slightly depending how extravagant the alarm is. You could try to low ball it and if it pops the fuse then get a slightly bigger one. You might start out at 15 amps. BUT, if you can tell me the make and model of the alarm then I might find out the correct size. I hope I can help.
