Hello my logitech cam....seems to be on ..but the screen is black ..and although it will take a picture ...complete with camera click ..there is no image on the screen.I have checked everything on the back of my pc ..and all seem in order.I am at my wits end .I am hoping that you can help resolve my issues ..or at least give me a starting point to look.Thanking you in advance.Annalisa
Try unplugging the USB cable and replugging it while the computer is on. I had the same problem you describe and also did a soft reboot of the computer which did not fix it. Cycling the power of the camera by unplugging it and plugging it back in fixed the picture.

from the logitech video instructions it says:
Going full screen is easy. When you're on a video call, just click the icon (on the left corner) to enlarge your video to full screen. Just click on the video or press ESC to return to normal video size. Picture-in-picture allows you to see what others see. Click on the PIP icon to turn it on.
If this is not working as it is the latest XP driver needs to be downloaded from the logitech web site.
HELLO THERE I HAVE THE LOGITECH QUICK CHAT AND WHEN I SEND THE VIDIEO IT HAS NO SOUND TO GO ALONG WITH THE PICTURE WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX THIS AND NOWHERES DOES IT SHOW WHERE TO HIT PLAY OR VIEW WHAT,S THE SOLUTION
Ok, take a breath... What has happened, is although you uninstalled the Logitech software, the folders still exist (as with any program uninstallation).
Unless you're comfortable with poking around your C drive, then download and run a program called "ccleaner" at www.ccleaner.com, which in a normal scenerio will remove redidual files left behind by an uninstall.
Once you have installed ccleaner, choose "tools" and use their uninstaller to remove the logitech software (if it shows on the program list).Even if it doesnt show, still run the "cleaner" function", as there will always be temp files lurking around that could mess up an installation.
Then, go to Logitech's site and get the latest software for your camera model.
Be sure to NOT plug the camera in until it tells you to do so!! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!
You may have to go into Skype's video configuration utility to setup the cam, but I think you can take it from there. Good luck!
Fergal0, I am wondering if you have accidentally puy your cam in one of those fun modes like the ones that distorts the picture or turns it into 4 color pictures etc. I don't know what it is called on your model but the menu for this is called video effects. I know where it is on Logitech quick cams but not for yours. I suggest you just try looking at these setting options and see if you can make it change to something else and if so then you are in the right place and just have to find how to turn this off. Let me know what kind of camera you have and what kind of menus you have available if this does not give you a good hint.
