No picture, have sound to my tv
I've found a 19" flatscreen monitor that wouldnt come on a few weeks ago, I "googled" it and found that when you open it there are capacitators(caps) that have flat tops, on the youtube video it said that that was their problem, so i ran to Radioshack and got 2w new ones..5 minutes later its working like new!...the thing is is that you most likely have a few(or 1) bad capacitators. Im still researching a lot, but if you have the will you could open the unit all the way(take pictures to remember how it goes together, really not that hard) and check for capacitators that are not flat on the tops, replace those(same uf, but the volts have to be more then the one u removed!!) ,make sure the - side on the cap is going back into the same - place it was(if - and positive are backwards they will pop again at once. basically take some of the things I mention here and google them and you will be on yuor way. a cap (capacitator) could be broke(popped) on the video card, cousing bad video or no video, a cap could be popped on the sound area, causing the sound to act funny, a cap could be popped on the powerboard, causing electrical problems that vary widely. so calling a pro: he would open it check for popped caps, then he would charge you crazy amount for a whole board, just because its easier and faster then soldering your tv boards...i hoped i guided you somwhat....i bought my first nonworking 19 lcd tv for 20 and im on my way to google till its working lol...good luck! ps, pics of popped capacitators and how to remove them are on the web, i just hoped to guid you some more
