I hoped to find a mainboard, but as i read here, they dont make em anymore :s. Now i have to buy the equipment to fix this problem my own..wish me luck..Gonna change the first capacitators in my life :)

Can i replace a 300uf25v capasitor with a 50v.47uf capasitor in my polaroid tv

No they are not the same, you can go up on the voltage but not down, but you need to be very close or dead on the uf.

My Grunding LXW68-8510 26 TV does not switch on from standby - after several attempts through the remote, it will finally switch on. When the TV warms up, the problem is less acute. Thank you for...

The key seemed to be TV warms up. This could be contact resistance problem or capacitance dried up needs to be cured. You can repair it and change some parts. Or just live with it and see if it goes away(capacitance cured and switch contact resistance rubbed off by use)?

No picture, have sound to my tv

I've found a 19" flatscreen monitor that wouldnt come on a few weeks ago, I "googled" it and found that when you open it there are capacitators(caps) that have flat tops, on the youtube video it said that that was their problem, so i ran to Radioshack and got 2w new ones..5 minutes later its working like new!...the thing is is that you most likely have a few(or 1) bad capacitators. Im still researching a lot, but if you have the will you could open the unit all the way(take pictures to remember how it goes together, really not that hard) and check for capacitators that are not flat on the tops, replace those(same uf, but the volts have to be more then the one u removed!!) ,make sure the - side on the cap is going back into the same - place it was(if - and positive are backwards they will pop again at once. basically take some of the things I mention here and google them and you will be on yuor way. a cap (capacitator) could be broke(popped) on the video card, cousing bad video or no video, a cap could be popped on the sound area, causing the sound to act funny, a cap could be popped on the powerboard, causing electrical problems that vary widely. so calling a pro: he would open it check for popped caps, then he would charge you crazy amount for a whole board, just because its easier and faster then soldering your tv boards...i hoped i guided you somwhat....i bought my first nonworking 19 lcd tv for 20 and im on my way to google till its working lol...good luck! ps, pics of popped capacitators and how to remove them are on the web, i just hoped to guid you some more

Samsung LCD TV proper capacitators

After searching through this site I found that replacing the 1000 uf 10V with 1000 uf 35V from radio shack has worked for others. I just tried it yesterday and I must say it works like a charm. For all that are weiry about attempting that don't worry it was very simple. I have never touched a solder or capacitors in my life and was able to complete the entire task in about an hour with no issues. Just search this site and others to get the proper methods for soldering and desoldering and it will be a breeze.

My 50 inch plasma

We have a 50 inch magnavox plasma screen. We found and used a fix from fixya! It only costs us $34.00 campared to the $300.00+
anyone wanted to look at it. The problem was on the powerboard but was two little capacitators with the model #3300 10v. We carefully took the back off the tv and removed the power board, went to a local electric supply store and bought the 2 parts for $2 each, we then found someone (tv repair shop!) to sauter the new ones on! Got it home put it back together and it stayed on, no depressing shutdown after a few seconds! you can find a picture of a fried capacitator on yahoo images, they are supposed to be flat but if defective will be bubbled at the top or even split! I am calling Magnavox today to complain that they are not recalling this part that should have been a better quality capacitator! Hope this helps some people!!
