pleas clean toner chip reader, remove pc drum and all toners, under the toner rack there is a 3 pin chip reader, use pressure air to clean it. if the new BK toner is not original, it will say only not genuine toner but will print.

I have a CLX-2160N and have just emptied my own waste toner container. (Disclaimer: not sure how toxic or environmentally friendly this is).
Emptied carefully and thoroughly (fine dust). Immersed in bowl of warm soapy water, and vigorous shaking to get nice and clean.
Shook all water out well, and dried off as much as possible. Reinstalled. Turned printer back on. Hey presto - seems happy.

Are you sure that you removed the plastic strip that is used to ship the toner? If so unseat and re-seat the cartridge, and make sure that your installing a compatible cartridge.

Mirror dirty laser scanner
The laser mirrors get dirty due to many things, the main blame lies about hp, and who had no rubber gaskets to "optical box" as it says, and the dust that comes in, causing us to blow a printer or same internal fan of the printer is stored in the bottom of the printer to finish the last piece together the laser mirror is the magenta, and that's why when the printer form the mirror image and transfer it to go faulty because the mirror does not project well in the dust which is on the surface. Thus forming the image pale color and lack of final results.
What should we do?
Clean mirrors, p ut to reach them we must completely disarm the printer, which is why I will leave some links to download the manuals.
1) Service Manual Printer hp2600n (English), just for reference but also helps explains how to get to certain parts of the printer, and tell us where are all the sprig, I recommend first ojearlo

2) Manual cleaning of the laser (translated into Spanish), I was compiling info from and forums, there are people who have disarmed the printer, and good will compile this information and there is a detailed manual with photos and 23 steps, and also gives details of the tools to use.

How do i clear f2-73 after using program 88-6 how can i revers it back to normal

F2-73 refers to an improper yellow toner cartridge detected in your machine. The fault usually lies with the small chip installed on the rear of the toner cartridge.
The first thing to try is turning the machine off & then back on using the main switch inside the front door. The switch is located in the bottom left corner.
If that fails then you will have to replace the yellow toner cartridge.
If after replacing the cartridge, the error code re-occurs then you may have a toner motor supply problem. In my experience, replacing the relevant toner cartridge resolves the error code.

Hi - What have you tried?
Process to check - simple but worth going back to basics
1 - Remove toner and reseat
2 - check you have removed all transport tags stickers etc
3 - Chck all arrears where a sensor could be blocked
4 - try a 2nd new toner (1st may be faulty)
4 - if there is a waste bottle or OPC drum attached to the toner itself ensure it is seated properly and fully locked into place

if none of the ablve work consult a printer repair or IT company

I have just replaced my imaging unit - now it wants me to replace/install waste toner bin

When the life span of the waste toner container has expired or it's full, the smart panel program window appears on the computer, indicating the waste toner container needs to be replaced. Otherwise your machine stops printing.

To replace it follow these instructions:
-Turn the machine off, then wait a few minutes for the machine to cool.
-Using the handle, completely open the front cover.
-Pull the waste toner container out of the machine using its handle.
-Remove the container's cap from the container, and use it to close the waste toner container opening. Do not tilt or turn over the container.
-Take a new waste toner container out of its package.
-Insert the new container into position and then push it to make sure that it is firmly seated in place.
-Close the front cover firmly. If the front cover is not completely closed, the machine will not operate. -Please make sure all toner cartridges are installed properly. If any toner cartridge is installed improperly, the front cover do not close.
-Turn the machine on.

Code F2:72

F2:72 is for Toner cartridge improper cartridge detection (MAGENTA).

Check and see if the right toner cartridge is installed. If it is the proper cartridge I would suggest placing a service call.

Hl 5240 i installed new toner cartridge still status is solid red toner is solid yellow

The new toner cartridge is not properly installed. Remove the toner cartridge and reinstall it.

Page 3-2 to 3-6 has the instructions on how to properly install the toner cartridge.

The page numbers are 63 TO 67 if you look at the page counter.

Xerox Model 2515 Will not clear Toner Empty Stop Error

I had one today with a toner low light with new toner installed. Turns out they broke the green cartridge retainer clip.
The toner sensor pn# 130K45680 btw.
let us know if it was the sensor.

HP 2550L low yellow toner -- can i still print just black???

Unfortunately if one colour is out, then you cant print. These cartridges contain a chip and once depleted will not print until a new cartridges is installed
