The shift key on my laptop keyboard has stopped working. I removed it to try to fix and now can't get it back on.

Hi Thanks for your question
In most laptop keyboards, attaching keys is pretty painless. Try to attach little plastics to the laptop first and once they're sitting clipped in try to attach the key. Just put the key in the right place and push it down. You should hear noticeable "click" once it's in. Do not hesitate to ask more questions in case you need further assistance. Fixya team will be more then happy to help you. Good luck.

I need to replace a couple of letter keys on my laptop. Where can I purchase them. How much and how easy is the work to replace these keys.?

if your problem is (the keys writing are worn out) then you can neatly write on it, but if the keys (some ) are not working, then your keyboard will not work, even tyou replace the keys...the plastic tracks can be damaged, and only it can be replace by changing the whole keyboard...check out on www.toshiba.com ..if hard to get 1, plug a usb external keyboard

Sounds like your contacts on your keyboard are dirty. Take some compressed air and blow it underneath your keyboard. Give it a good cleaning. See if that solves your problem.
