Have rigid 535 pipe cutter with new cutting blades but threads are not coming out right. it is almost like the threader is tearing the threads instead of cutting them. everything is clean and have new cutting oil. there is a little slack in the cutting head mounting rod.

I have seen this a couple times when the die begins to slide out as your threading it will turn enough to rip the threads just keep steady pressure on the wheel so the die cannot slide out if this is the case the other reason is normally because the dies were not installed properly take notice to the fact they are numbered

SOURCE: Threads are all chewed up and broken in places

First look carefully at your die, is one of the cutters out of place? I hope you have been using plenty of cutting oil, not lube oil. Lube oil will ruin cutters. If your cutters have chips out of the cutting edge, they won't work. Don't try to thread stainless steel. Only use a die that has a guide section on it to keep the die true to the pipe.

Brother lb6770 The hook comes out and usually misses thread it is supposed to cut even when does catch blade fails to cut thread. Is this adjustment that's needed or replacing?

If the felt pad is missing from your bobbin case, it won't catch the thread properly and if it's not cutting even when it has caught. The cutter blade needs to be replaced.

How to Use a Pipe Cutter?

Pipe cutters are really useful tools that can be used in the house to cut pipes that are made from metal or plastic. You could always try using a saw of some kind but pipe cutters will give you a much straighter edge.

Here are some basic instructions to help you successfully use a pipe cutter.

1. Decide exactly where on the pipe you would like to make a cut.
2. Loosen the handle on the pipe cutter and place it around the pipe.
3. Now tighten the cutter until the blade is in contact with the pipe.
4. Turn the pipe cutter a few turns around the pipe and it will score a line into the pipe.
5. Keep turning the pipe cutter around until you've cut the pipe off.
6. In order to create a nice straight edge inside the cut pipe you need to take the bottom blade out of the pipe cutter.
7. Place it into the cut end of the pipe and turn it around a few times until it's nice and smooth.

Bobbin thread not cutting

With the bobbin case out of the machine, touch the cutter button. Do you see the cutter arm move from left to right and then back left. If not the cutter arm is out of place. If it does it is something else.
I usually check two things:
1 - your cutter blade might be missing or dull and needs to be replaced. I would not recommend doing this yourself unless you are very good.
2 - many times there is lint or loose threads around the cutter in the area to the left of the needle plate that needs to be cleaned out. You can remove the cover to this area by first removing the needle plate and bobbin case. Then the cover is accessible to pop off by sliding the tip of a small screw driver under the cover at the bottom right corner of the cover. There should be a little opening. Carefully pop the cover off but be careful that the blade mechanism does not come off too. With your finger carefully hold the silver metal blade area steady and pick out the loose threads/lint from around the copper looking metal part. There is velcrow on the tip of the copper metal part so be sure that you don't remove that too. That's what holds the thread for the blade to cut it. If velcrow is missing, or the silver metal part is out of place that could be the problem also.
I recommend that any repairs/service be done by an authorized Viking dealer. You can find a local dealer by checking the Viking website at http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us and going to the Locate a Dealer link.
Good luck

My thread cutter(automatic trimmer) is making a bad noise before it cuts the thread. Is there a place to look to see what is going on or to change the blades if needed??????

New noise? My F-600 has always made a sort of growly/gear noise just before cutting the thread. If it's a new noise, don't use the thread cutter until you've taken it in for service.

Outdoor outlet electrical box, in the front garden, just above ground level. Contained a GFI outlet, which caught fire and burned. The box is stuck on the threaded pipe; any suggestions on how to remove...

When you had the fire how badly damaged was the wire ? If you are unable to remove the j-box from the threaded box connector you will have to do a few things. You will have to cut the pipe just before the connector to the box which is a problem if the wire is still good. I am not sure if you have rigid metal conduit or PVC plastic. If it is metal pipe sometimes you can cut it with a tubing cutter like plumbers use which is the best way so that you do not cut the wire in the process. If all of that makes sense and works you will then need a threadless rigid compression connector for that pipe size a new outdoor box with the right size hole for your connector, a new GFI outlet, and weatherproof cover. If it is PVC basically the same thing only plastic parts. Hopefully that is helpful if there are any more questions please feel free to ask.

The selective thread cutter not cutting thread.

You need a new blade in the cutter. It is a simple repair job, but needs to go to the repairman for it to be done.

Husqvarna Sapphire - thread cutter not working

Does the metal arm come out to grab the threads to cut it? Is there a blade in the metal arm that cuts the tread? I think a standard utility knife cutter blade is the same size (just like the one that cuts the bobbin thread when you put in a new bobbin). What happens when you activate the cutter is the arm comes out, grabs the threads, brings them to the blade which cuts the threads, the velcro by the cutter holds the bobbin thread in place for the next stitch. Otherwise the thread may end up on top and the top thread would not be able to pick it up for the next stitch.

Good luck.

Wiper error occuring between thread sequence.

wiper error can come from the needle threader not working right, the cutter not working right or the picker not working right, i would recommend taking this to a dealer for service because setting the picker is easy but you have to be in the service program of the machine
