Most dishwashers require heater to acheive a pre set temperature before continuing the cycle, if temp if not acheived then often machine will continue on its current cycle (ad nausium) untill temp is acheived, if heater is not working then this of course will never happen, most heaters are visable in base of washer interia, take a look ,is there any damage that you can see.it can be fixed, and heater replaced if necessary.

The cooling coil in the back of the freezer frosts up and needs to be manually defrosted nearly ever 2 weeks. The timer seems to cycle properly and the compressor cycles properly but the defrost cycle...

The ohms of the defrost heaters vary, but all you really need to do is check it for continuity. If its open, its bad. The defrost thermostat must be closed for defrost to happen,it is in series with the heater the defrost thermostat opens to terminate defrost, then the timer puts the unit back in run mode.
To check the defrost thermostat you have to put in in a freezer for a while then check for continuity . The actual open and close temps are usually stamped right on the defrost thermostat Its considered good practice to replace both the heater and the defrost thermostat while you are in there

Proper settings for the Honeywell thermostat T87K

I'm going to answer your questions based on the way I THINK your system is setup.

If anything isn't making sense, please feel free to ask.

2> cycles per hour is for air handling only, if there isn't a call for heat, you may still want to move air in order to not have the space feel "stuffy", or develop a moisture issue.

3> the cycles per hour to choose depends on alot of variables. Some of these include geographical location, type of construction, use of the structure (what is this building used for?)

4>The high and low limits are for the target fluid temperatures for the boiler. The cycles per hour are for the air handler.

Your installer should have setup these things for you, and been able to explain them to you in a reasonable manner.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any more questions you need.

Cycles on and off after reaching desired temperature

The problem sounds like the thermostat which is probably a bimetal strip. It sounds like the bimetal strip is just constantly bending one direction then the other. It could be possibly adjusted by bending it -- this would be a trial and error process.

Or, it could be replaced.

Loud buzzing after heating up

the buzzing is normal.  there is an element inside the quartz tube much like a filament in a light bulb.  as this heats up it starts to move.  where you have electrical energy you also have magnetism produced. metal objects vibrate when they are in or within a magnetic field. the element is tungsten wire and vibrates off this magnetic field.
