Hi,

Often the rubber button is pushed into the microphone.
You can easily disasemble the unit.
Just open the batterycase, you will find some small torx screws.

How do i sync my mic to my receiveri have a ew 100 g3 and after some kids were playing with it, I can't get any sound

Pressing the sync button whilst holding the mic close to the IR unit on the receiver should sync things back up. If this has already been done things to try next are as follows.

RF Mute. Press and release the power button. RF Mute should be displayed. Press the roccker switch and select RF mute OFF, press the rocker switch again.
Check in the advanced menu that the pilot tone is on on the handheld AND the receiver.

Issue more complicated than originally thought!

This isn't a solution. But after I've gotten into my microphone with the same issue using a torx screwdriver I found that I (Electrical Engineer) don't have the proper equipment to fix the issue. Roughly 100 dollars (Flat rate) and a send off to Sennheiser is your best bet.

Powers up for a second and then shuts itself off. Checked batteries.

Hi,

You can check your powerswitch.
Sometimes they are sticky and are "hanging".

Sennheiser ew 100 g2 handheld microphone loose coil in capsule?

I had a similar problem with a sure sm 57 that I used on a guitar amp. I don't know if this is the correct fix but it worked for me. I took thin strips of paper to use as spacers and placed them evenly around the coil. I used a hot melt glue gun and placed 3 small drops around the edge of the coil. Remove the spacers and the coil should be secure.

On/off button fell off Sennheiser wireless mic

This is quite common with G2's, and really annoying!
If you are lucky, 50% of the time the red button is pushed inside the mic.
You need to remove the bottom section:
- open the battery compartment
- there should be 3 star-bit screws around the outside (remove)
- pull the bottom of the mic off

If the red button is not inside, they are available as a spare part from Sennheiser dealers.

Be carefull when putting the mic back together, it needs to line up correctly with the internal guides, forcing the base back on could damage the ribbon cable. when the line-up is correct it slides on very easily.

Best of luck.

Transmission distance problem on Sennheiser G2 wireless

I regularly use G2 ew100+300 systems, which have a manual squelch adjustment on the reciever. Squelch is difficult to explain but here we go: a squelch adjustment gives you the options LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH these settings effect transmission distance and interference rejection. for example: a HIGH squelch is less prone to interference but has a shorter transmittion distance. A LOW squelch is more prone to interferance but allows for a longer transmission distance. For most applications, a MID squelch is fine. If this does not help- the next option would be to swap arials between units and see if the problem moves. The G2 series are a 30mw transmittion which has an effective range of about 50m
hope this helps.

We have a Sennheiser Diversity Receiver ew 100 and when the wireless mic is off the noise line is on the AF and makes alot of staic until you turn the mic on then it stops. How do I fix this?

Hello! Turn the unit on and push set on the receiver then push arrows until tune comes up, raise or lower frequency of the channel until the noise does not appear in the meter, push set to store settings then push power button to return to normal. Then take the mic and turn it on, push set then push arrow until tune comes up then push set and then set the channel the same way you set the receiver. P.S.. The receiver is locking on to a rouge frequency that is what causes the noise. Went you turn the mic on the receiver locks on to the mic and the noise stops.
Hope this helps you to fix the problem.
