The camera will be activated by the program or website using it. It should automatically disengage afterwards. Most models have a light next to the webcam to show when it is active.

Most laptops that come with a webcam has webcam software either in the manufacturer's folder in the start menu or it can usually be pulled up by typing "cam" in the windows search.

You can also try going to websites such as youtube (if you have a Google account) to test it out.

Please leave feedback if this helps. Thanks.

Toshiba satellite pro c650,Built in web cam working satisfactorily till yesterday. now giving message 'unable to find pc camera'. kindly help.

A couple of things to try.
1) Go into your BIOS and ensure that the webcam isn't somehow turned off in the BIOS. 2) Go into Device Manager in Windows, find the webcam. Right click on it and remove it. Then reboot the computer and let Windows find it, and reinstall the drivers again.
3) You may also want to reinstall the Toshiba specific drivers and software which likely includes drivers for the webcam. You may have a CD that came with the laptop, otherwise you can go to

and reinstall the webcam application for your laptop.
Hope this helps!!

Toshiba Satellite C650 C655 C655d Dc Power Jack Harness how to replace

you can find self-help videos on youtube -- just search for the make/model description & watch the show; if you don't want to have to open up your laptop & use solder on connections, take it to the mall where they fix phones or PCs (get the parts first on ebay or amazon) and just pay for labor ($20-$30 for a 20-minute repair, if they're reasonable).

I have toshiba satellite c650 laptop but laptopb locket with power on password so please guide me how to reset password on toshiba satellite c650 password

To reset the BIOS read the information from this link.

In case of your Toshiba laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

How do I replace the keyboard?

next to the F1 key and the windows key (2nd upper key and second to last key) are two screws, usually under some covering. unscrew and lift top edge of the keyboard towards the trackpad to lay face down. Undo the wire ribbon by lifting the grey or brown tabs and remove ribbon and keyboard. Then install the new keyboard by inserting the ribbon on the place. Lock down with the tabs and put the plastic prongs (close to the space bar) into the laptop body first, and then close keyboard onto the final position. screw back in and thats all. nboulikas@gmail.com for any additional questions.
