Stereo shuts off at 69

This could be due to the systems overload protection kicking in, which under normal circumstances shouldn't happen, I suggest moving the speakers next to the amplifier and if possible use anew piece of wire to test the speakers start with one and test each individually. I think you possibly have a small short in one of the wires. Or one speaker is damaged. Measure the resistance between each speaker wire pairs. The speaker will probably be either 4 or 8 ohms check that this is the case. Read the speaker labels for clues. Were they the original speakers supplied? by the same manufacturer?

Hi, cases like that always comes u. Earlier you said just replaced it, that's not too good for anew monitor speaker.

You could test the fuse inside the speaker if it's still working, might be power fluctuation that might have caused it to blow.but you need to test it. If it is the fuse, fine! you can replace it, it does not cost much to replace.

Also if i can recall, most new stuffs always comes with guarantee with it,right?. I would suggest you could take it back and get a replacement, and i guess if they see it,since it is on guarantee, they can fix it for you without even charging you a penny.

Hope that helped.

Thanks and feel free to pass on your comment.

Thanks for using fixya..

It's not your cd-rom but more likely your speakers. Borrow or swap your current speakers that you know work & sound good.
If they sound good on your system. You need new speakers. If the sound is still disorted. Than your sound card can be
defective or the sound out-put jack is not getting a good connection. Without the Pc model number & Mfg's make I can not go any fauther with suggestions.
