Question about Cuisinart CWC-1200 Wine Cooler

1 Answer

Unplugged the wine cooler to move for painting. When we re-plugged it in it was not working at all. Took off the back and cleaned out any dust from the fan. All of the wires look like they are in place. Why did it all of a sudden stop working ? Are the circuit boards something that can be ordered ? Pat

First check your breakers. Sometimes re plugging an item can cause a surge and pop the breaker. Maybe some paint might have gotten in the outlet and preventing a clean contact. If all fails, try plugging in the unit in another outlet to see if the problem lies within the outlet or the wine cooler.

Temperature on our reflection wine cooler not working . got it set for 8 but it stays at 16 and doesnt move . hear moter going but doesnt go cold

Check to see if the evaporater is dirty. It will look like a radiator. It could be on the bottom, front, or rear. I have seen this a lot with refrigerators. They never get cleaned or noticed until they quit working

The unit will not turn on (after being moved)

Sounds like a bad cord. There are lots of cheap cords that fail easily these days.

Vinotemp VT-16TEDS has light on but doesn't cool

First check the grating over the fan in the back. If it is covered with dust, there won't be enough air flow and the unit won't cool. Clean the dust off and see if it cools back down. It may take a long time to cool down if it is full of wine, so I recommend taking the wine out to test if it works.
