Cuisinart coffe maker does not allow water in

Common problem, it is hard water issue, these coffee makers do not handle even slightly hard water as deposits build up quickly blocking water flow to element. Try one of the many coffee pot cleaners, but if it is as bad as described, may not be enough to clean out coils.

Hi guys I have saeco idea and it says maintenance caf any got idea what that is , thanks.

It probably needs a cleaning. Run 1 pot of white vinegar through it just like where you fill it with water. But do not use any water. Then run 2 full pots of water through it to clean out the vinegar. Warning do put cold water into a hot glass pot or it could break. If it has a filter for the water, change it with a new one.

How do I use vinegar to clean my coffee pot? I heard it was a good method but have no idea what to do with it.

For a 12 cup coffee maker. Fill the coffee pot (the part that holds the water) with 6 cups of vinegar and then top up with water until you reach the line. Now turn it on as if you were making regular coffee. Once the hot vinegar has come through, pour it into the water cavity and run the cycle again.

Now you can tip the vinegar out and clean out the coffee pot with soapy water. Run another cycle but with plain water this time and after that you should be able to use your machine without any leftover residue from the vinegar.

How do you clean this product using vinegar?

Put a small amount of vinegar in the coffee pot, fill with water "12 cups" add contents to main unit and turn on, when finished! empty pot in sink and refill coffee pot with water only and cycle it through three to four times to make sure the vinegar is flushed out of the lines, adding fresh water each cycle.

How to clean the inside of tea pot (scale deposits)?

Vinegar is very good at removing scaly deposits. Heat white/clear vinegar just as you would normally heat the water for your tea. After heating the vinegar, pour out and rinse thoroughly with water. If there are still deposits after this first attempt, use vinegar once again. Once you are satisfied that all the deposits have been removed, heat water in the tea pot 2-3 times to remove any smell or taste from the vinegar (before using for tea).

How do you clean the Mr Coffee machine?

You can purchase packages of cleaner in your supermarket that mix with water and are poured into the water tank. Follow the directions on the package.

You could also do it with simple white vinegar, too. Some people like a 50/50 vinegar and water mixture and other like to use vinegar "straight" You can fill the tank 10 - 12 cups with the mixture or pour the straight vinegar into the tank 1/2 way (or all the way - your choice) and press the brew start button. No filter is required.

The vinegar will breakdown the mineral deposits that form in the tank and on the heating element. Usually once is enough, but you might want a second round with a fresh mixture. Do not reuse the old mixture in the tank. In any case, continue cleaning with mixture until the water is clear (again, once is usually enough).

When done cleaning, make at least 3 full pots of water only to completely flush all vinegar from the tank and heater. Failure to adequately flush will result in a terrible tasting pot of coffee.

Good luck - I hope you found this very helpful.

I put in 12 cups of water and only 4 cups come out with coffee what is wrong with this. It is only one month old

This occurs occasionally if the unit needs cleaning or you are brewing a new pot of coffee immediately after emptying a hot pot of coffee.
Run a cup of vinegar through the coffee maker twice, run at least 2 pots of clean water through to rinse the vinegar out.
This should clear the problem until it needs cleaning. The suggested frequency of cleaning is every 30 pots, but this varies depending upon the type of water you use.

Self cleaning the quisinart coffee maker

I always use a mixture of 50:50 of cold water and white vinegar to help clean the internal parts of any minerals and scaling.

Unplug the coffee maker first, then add the water/vinegar mix to the reservoir.

Place a new, clean paper filter in the basket to help catch any deposits that will be dislodged and cleaned from the coffee maker.

As far as having the coffee pot dry, there is no need for that. I do tend to wait about 15 minutes to let the cleaning mixture disolve any deposits in the main water reservoir and then I turn on the coffee maker and let it process the water/vinegar solution through it.

Once it's done, turn off the coffee maker and discard the solution in the pot. And rinse out the coffee pot/carafe with clean, fresh cold water. Remove and throw away the used paper filter element andrinse out the basket with warm water and put it back on the unit.

Now fill the coffee pot/carafe with fresh, clean water and pour that into the coffee maker's water reservoir. Put in a new, clean, paper filter and turn the unit on and run a plain pot of water. This will help to clean out any remaining residue and clear the unit of the vinegar taste and odor.

Now you're all set to start making fresh tasting coffee again. I always recommend using filtered water for the best tasting coffee, as the taste is a direct result of brewing temperature, water purity, and the coffee you use.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

My coffee maker works very slowly after about three weeks of use. Specifically, the water does not pass through the filter and into the pot quickly, if at all. Suggestions?

Try cleaning it with white vinegar. Put in one cup with a potful of water, and let it soak. To get more cleaning, pour the water/vinegar through again, hot. Put in a coffee filter to catch/strain the debris, and you will be able to see if it's helping. When you're through cleaning, pass fresh water through the machine by potfuls, until no traces of vinegar can be detected.
Best regards, --W/D--

How can we clean our saeco pot.

White vinegar will work well. After you run the vinegar through, run about 2 pot of water through it to rinse. This should do the trick.
