MAG LT1919W Wide screen flat panel monitor

The monitor worked for about 15 months. Now when I turn it on the image is shown for about 5 seconds then the screen turns black.

While it was working, the screen would turn off (black) for for a couple of seconds and then came back again. Do you think I have a bad video card? I would not like this problem to occur again with a new monitor.

HI,
Unplug the monitor from you comoputer. Check if the display still goes out. If it does then the problem is with the CRT.
If you could give the manufacturer of the CRT we could suggest a better resolution on the same. All CRT monitors come with a three year replacement warranty.

Thanks

but your problem seems to be like a CRT fault fault sir.

i would suggest you to buy a new one instead of clearing the CRT fault. it will cost you heavily

yes thank for the second comment from your side.

it can be a bad card also.
try removing the card clean it and install the card in a different slot and then try starting. this may get you fixed

The problem is with your Harddisk. Try removing and reconnecting it again. Run the scan disk utility.

My mag Innovision flat lcd monitor is blank after 3 seconds..

It is not easy. I slip a knife in the bottom edge and slowly work my way around the bottom opening it a little by little. Once you get the bottom and part of each side you can push the plastic towards the top and it will pop off. There are plastic clips holding the bezel down. I always break a couple on opening, but at least the monitor gets fixed. This is not made to open, so good luck.

LT582s Mag Innovision

Hi,

It all depends if the Mag has been used before on the same system or it is a new installation or on a different computer.
  • If it is connected to an existing set-up and has been used previously, then possibly it is the computer's video card/memory or just not booting. Alternately, it could be the video interface/main board of the monitor or even possibly the cable;
  • If it is just being installed on a known good computer, then it could be that the screen resolution and/or the screen refresh rate of the display properties of the computer needs to be lowered down.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Monitor goes blank less than a second after turning on.

Beautiful screen, lasts about for a few minutes, goes black. Power button still green. If I turn it off, and then back on, it works again for a while. Any ideas?

MAG Innovision LT916S monitor problem

Hi this is the way how to examine what's wrong with your monitors. After you turned it on and the screen went black, you have to check that if you can see the image on the screen or not by shining a flashlight into the screen, not directly but find the best angle to the screen and take a look very closely. If you can see the icons or any image, there will be a minor problem. This is because of the lamps inside screen. Some of them were broken and it is very easy to replace. If you cannot see anything on the screen, there'll be some problems with inverter board. If you have soldering tool and want to fix it by yourself, check the caps first. It may cause this problem. Some caps might show leaking or burn spot on the board because of too high temp. If you don't have soldering tool, you better go get a technician to do so. Hope this help!! If anything I can help you with, feel free to let me know.
Thank you,
Tan

Good picture for 30 seconds then screen goes black with a faint ghost of the image

the 12V is for speakers.. the 245bw takes regular 120V AC (same cord as your computer)

the buzzing is annoying, though. i don't know if it's a "feature" or just a side effect.. ie, if i could take the case off and poke around, i would. 4 times out of 5 it's some dumb piece of tin reverberating from a transformer or something..
