Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

We bought a Noma- Energy managing 8 outlet veritcal power bar. 5200 Joules Following all directions carefully, it seems no matter what we plug into the master outlet, it keeps kicking off every 10 seconds....and never stays on. And does the same thing when only one thing is plugged into it.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Denon unable to stay on

It's likely that you have shorted some speaker outputs, I had that problem and sorted it. Unfortunately it does mean replacing some output transistors..the devices are dificult to get to just to add insult to injury. They are the devices that are mounted directly onto the large heatsink and solder connected to the bottom circuit board. You only have to change the matched pair that you have blown....tricky to identify which ones without some electronics knowledge. The power output section does have some fuses to protect it but sadly these do not appear to be fast enough to stop "one" from damaging the power output stage if you unfortunately short outputs. The transistors are available from Farnell, use pin compatible replacements SAP15N and SAP15P.....all the best. Doctor Bill

SOURCE: Keeps tripping circuit breaker everytime on plug the power cord in

2 common, possible problems. 1 - there is a "short" in the plug - easy fix - replace either the cord or plug - not expensive. 2 - bad control board - not so easy, not so cheap. Is it brand new, used? Also, it could be a bad "internal breaker" - not easy!

SOURCE: pin connection for 'master ..slave

I assume these are IDE drives since SATA doesn't require jumper settings. . .You will need to set the primary drive jumper to master[ma] & the secondary drive jumper to slave[sl]. Some systems require dual hdd systems to have both set to the cable select[cs] jumper. Check your motherboard or system manufacturer manual to see which setup your system requires. If you lost the manual most manufacturers have it availablr on their website under the support link. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Pump keeps turning off

this pump needs about 21/4" of water to operate properly, this pump will not remove all the water from the cover and will cycle on and off as it looses prime. If the motor turns completely off, it may be a an issue with low line voltage. you can try using a lager gauge extension cord to try and fix it, otherwise have an electrician test the line voltage.

Here is a pdf of the manual:

Testimonial: "This is not the problem. The pump is fully submerged when it fails. Thank you for your responce. "

What is the destructive force of the ***** star in star wars rogue one with one reactor?

it depends on what the ***** star was firing at the planet ?
Was it a laser blast ?

laser fire based on half the energy requirement to destroy a planet
1.12 × 10^32 Joules, or 112,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Joules of energy!
However it strange that there is no recoil or apparent damage from the resulting blast wave coming from the target ?

https://medium.com/starts-with-a-bang/the-physics-of-the-*****-star-c21ccc58ade9
It uses a hypermatter reactor
There is some speculation from other devoted star wars fans of 10% of the full power being used
so that would be 2.24 x 10^16 Joules

What does mW stand for in laser pointer measurements?

m stands for mili like 1/1000 and W stands for watts which is the measurement of joule/second (joules per second). So 5mW means the laser's power is 5 miliwatts or it is putting out 0.005 joules of energy per second. The higher the number the more joules of energy are being emitted.

What is the difference between a regular power strip and a surge protector?

A power strip is what's used for plugging in multiple appliances to one outlet. A surge protector is different in that it is designed to prevent electrical surges from too many things plugged in, bad weather or lightening. Usually things like air conditioners with heavy motors are plugged into surge protectors.

NOMA 1000 watt Photoelectric Timer manual

1) Copy following link to identify timer and download possible manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#N1502

2) If timer has gone defective, then N1502 has 1 year limited warranty.
Timer is rated for 8 amps.
125 volts x 8 amps = maximum 1000 watts
2-prong output.

3) For heavier duty timer, with 3-prong grounded output, choose N1506 timer

We have a noma inside timer program and have no mamual for it and cannot seem to have it come on

Timer is not identified:
Look at following options:

Noma brand is old Intermatic brand that is sometimes/usually associated with Woods, but is also be used by various sellers to denote they are marketing a timer.

1) Add a comment and describe timer in detail, and/or post a photo of timer on Flicker and add a comment with link to photo.

2) Open following link to identify same-similar timer and download possible manual
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html

3) If timer will not operate, last step troubleshoot is to reset timer.
Most plug-in timers have reset button. Press reset button and see if timer display is restored.
Some timers require additional button pushed along with reset button, some timers require 2 buttons pushed to reset timer.
Some timers have a batter that needs to be replaced. Replace battery and reset timer.
If functionality is not restored after reset, then check outlet for power. Test outlet with circuit analyzer.
If outlet is good and if functionality is not restored, then timer has gone bad.

200 mili joules/ cm2 cuantos miliwats son?

Sorry to say, but your units are incoherent.
The mJ/cm^2 is a unit of energy flux (energy per unit surface area) whereas mW is a unit of power ( energy per unit time). There is a connecting dimension missing. It might be helpful to figure out what you need to do to know that 1mJ = 1mWx1s= 1mW.s

Two identical capacitors connected in parallel what will be enrgy

Theoritcally, the energy (in Joules) will be exactly the same as all you are doing is effectively doubling the capacitance.
In practical terms, the energy will be very slightly less after connecting them as the charge on the charged capacitor has to be equally distrbuted across itself and the uncharged one, by the flow of electrons via the electrical connection between them. This connection will have a finite resistance (allbeit very low if the connection is not very long), therefore some energy will be dispersed as heat as a result of electrons flowing through this resistance (Amps squared times the resistance times the time it takes for the charge to equally distribute - Joules heating effect & Ohms law).

Dell E173FP Monitor requires unplugging/plugging back in to wake

Perhaps your computer is hibernating instead of going into standby which takes a little longer to wake up from. While you are playing plugs and cables it give it enough time to come out of hibernation.

When the computer is in this mode the USB ports turn off which disables keyboard and mouse so the only way to wake up the computer is to press the power button on the computer itself.

One tell tale sign a computer is in hibernation is that the power light on the computer will slowly blink.

I hope this helps.
