The touch screen on my palm pixi just stopped working. I can't shut the phone off, or do anything. It's frozen. What should I do?

I'm having the exact same problem. I took the phone to World of Wireless. They should be able to get the touch screen function working for you so you can retreive your photos.

1) Connect your mobile to computer
2) Open My computer and check for a new drive which appeared after connecting the mobile.
3) Open the folder and Copy the Pictures from Photos Folder

hi troy camolo take the battery out of the phone. Next then hit the pouer button 3 times. The toogle switch will results in the phone resetting.

Palm pixi cell phone has both a sliding phone and a straight phone.Which is yours?

Sliding Palm Pixi phone with a black screen is always caused by a thread like object inside the phone.
These threadlike object is connected to the phone board and is also connected to the screen. (makes the screen display). When it gets damaged or has a cut due to sliding of the phone, it makes the screen go black.

Straight Palm Pixi phone with a black screen can be caused, when the phone of the screen is damaged,might not be by the phone dropping on the flow,it might be an internal damage from factory (factory default).

I would advice if the phone is on guarantee,you can take the phone back to where you purchased the phone from fro them to replace it with another one.

Butplease,make sure you don't Tammper with the phone,sothat they can be able to replace it without any damage.

You will have to replace the digitizer on that, Parts are not available so you will have to conatct palm service center. Unless you got insurance then you can call you carrier and get it replaced.

You will have restore the software from palm.com. That may fix your issue there might be a corruption in the software itself. Restoring your firmware it will delete all your information in the phone. hope this helps.

Hi, it means that there is a problem with the screen of the phone you are using.because of damage LCD (glass screen) ,
defective display driver (small chips that makes the display works).


When you replace it,phone will be back to normal.

well i have a palm pixi too ***** and it works!

It seems that they software is not compatible with the phone so kindly downgrade it or take it to nearest store before it permanently damages your phone.

1. If you have a case on your phone it could be pressing on the screen which would not allow any other part of the screen to work.
2. You could need to do something as easy as taking the battery out for a minute and putting it back in.
3. If the wrong buttons are reacting to your touch recalibrate your touch screen and see if that helps.

If these things don't work you will need to call customer service persons
