When it first starts up there is excess pressure, its being released by that valve, perfectly normal and it should work that way

you must check the connection to the power distribution box in the engine compartment this is the black box with the fuses you will see a connection from the battery clean any corrosion present this will allow the electrical voltage to go through , also you will see a little square box with a cover on the right inner fender remove the cover you will see a junction of wires bolted in with a 8mm-10mm nut remove these wires and clean them you must make sure that all connections are clean and lubed wd-40 pb blaster carbon conductive grease is best but they all work to inhibit rust & corrosion and they must be tightly connected there can be no air gaps they must be very tight if not there will be no power at all everything will be out this is also true for the battery cables any loose or corroded connectors must be cleaned and the battery terminals must be the right size 19mm. I.D. for the+ & 17mm.I.D. for the- if you have replaced these recently and you bought a universal set the - terminal is to big and loose which will cause a break in the electrical connection and will cause the battery to go dead ,you can check your alternator by jump starting the vehicle once running disconnect the battery cables if the engine keeps running its good if the engine dies the alternator is N/G I don't know if your car has power and is cranking when you turn the key if you do have someone pull a coil out and touch to ground if there is spark the computer is working we must now look for a bad fuel pump take off the air cleaner hose at the throttle body get someone to crank the engine while you spray carburetor cleaner into the throttle body by pushing back the throttle lever to open the plate if the car starts you could have a bad fuel pump/pump relay/blown fuse for the pump & this could blown fuse will most likely translate to a bad fuel pump because the pump locked up and blew the fuse I tried to cover everything that I could without being there to check the car and your question was very vague in description so good luck its either electrical or fuel related LATER MAN!

Where is capacitor in a 28000 but window air conditioner

The outdoor capacitor is mounted usually at the top under the cover. The indoor capacitor is usually inside the electric control box on the right hand side. The indoor capacitor is usually a small square "box" shaped type with 2 or 3 wires attached for the indoor fan motor. The outdoor capacitor is usually a large round cylindrical shape for the compressor and a smaller box shaped capacitor for the fan motor.

The compressor runs fine and shuts off when the pressure builds up to the appropriate level. When I use air, it tries to kick on to build pressure up again, but it's not able to get started and...

Check the circuit feeding power to the compressor. These conductors may be too small. Conductors have a degree of resistance. Resistance consumes power. The power conductors consume is dissipated as heat and present a voltage drop to the equipment being served. Length and size of the conductors determine power loss.
An electric motor momentarily needs up to six times the running power and this power loss is squared ( PxP) at start up.
The bottom line: Shorten the length of the conductors or increase the conductor size to avoid voltage drop.

On start up, the motor ran slow then popped the circuit. plugged it into a 20 amp circuit, it ran a little stronger then shut off without popping the circuit. Motor was hot, and after a short period the...

It sounds like the compressor is trying to start under load because there is a tightness in the pump itself or there is high pressure air in the line between the pump and tank There is a small valve that releases the pressure out of the main pipe that runs between the compressor and tank once the tank is full and the motor automatically cuts off. You know this valve is working by the sound of a short spurt if air being released when the motor cuts off. Releasing this pressure means that the motor is able to restart easily because there is no load. If the valve is not releasing this air, the compressor is trying to start under full load which the motor is not capable of doing, hence the slow running, overheating and popping of breakers due to a current overload as the motor tries to run up to normal peed. Motor burnout is possible if it keeps recurring.

This small release valve is attached to the Pressure control switch that switches the motor On & Off and usually has a small pipe going to it or is incorporated inside the Pressure Control Switch. If the valve appears to be working then it means that the Non-return valve on the input to the tank is not sealing properly and letting air back into the main pipe causing the compressor to start under load. Check both valves for correct operation and replace as necessary.

If all the air side checks out OK the check for low oil level and / or binding in the air pump main drive shaft.

How do i adjust air pressure cut out

Square d recommends that the pressure switch be adjusted to specifications of the particular switch (which is sold in pressure ranges preset at the factory). The switch will be erratic it adjusted out of the factory setting range.
From Square D: (adjust the desired cut-in pressure first, then cut-out)
Cut-in: The large spring controls the cut-in pressure. To make adjustments, turn the nut clockwise (compressing the spring) to raise the cut-in point or counterclockwise to lower the point of cut-in.
Cut-out: The small spring is the differential adjustment and controls the cut-out pressure. To raise the cut-out pressure turn the small nut clockwise (more differential); to lower the cut-out pressure turn counterclockwise.

Lets look at the whole problem. Did you have a new unit inside. Is the charge correct for unit. 1 lb of refrigerant makes difference. Four tons should be big enough if you have proper insulation. I have three tons in a 2100 square foot house. Its plenty big enough. You may have to small a return air. To small a return can cut a four ton unit to 2.5 ton unit very easily. 1.5 square foot pf free grille area per ton. Rusty

Fuel pump 2002 oldsmobile alero

In order to replace the fuel pump u must remove the gas tank, the fuel pump is located inside the tank. U are going to need to get the car at least 3 feet in the air, u will need a good 2 1/2 ton hydraulic floor jack, 4 good safety stands and common hand tools, also a brass drift to release fuel pump module retainner ring on top of tank, don't use steel one spark and u are up in smoke.
