My ceiling fan does not turn on, but the light works. The light switch and and fan switch are working.

If your sure it is powered from the wall switch, then your more likely to have a bad capacitor for the fan or a wire has loosened under the fan.

My Fanimation Islander FP320 stopped working, I've replaced the wall switch but fan won't spin and lights won't dim.

Check to make sure your fan is set on the high speed & the light is at the on possition with the pull chains.

My craftmade celing fans/lights start strobing

SOunds to me like you have a bad wiring connection in the fan unit, have someone check out all the connections, both between the fan and ceiling and the fan and light unit.

Mika aire remote fan

Not sure if this addresses your problem or not, but with my Minka Aire ceiling fans, the fan has to be moving in order to change the fan direction. Turn the fan on (any speed works), then push the reverse button. The fan will speed up to max, then you'll hear the gears switching. The fan will slow to a stop, change directions and get back up to speed in the new direction.
