Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

Top Load Roper Washer 7 cycle 2 speed W10330949A Bought 2 months ago ..not hooked up right away either While machine is in the washing cycle...water keeps draining out and refilling. Also Water is way too cold and we have both hot water and cold water turned on. Our water heater is right next to our dryer that is right next to the washer. It is detecting water levels as it keeps siphoning water out of the tub and seems to siphon it back in constantly while it is washing and it keeps trying to adjust the water level it seems. Is it because it needs air in the drain pipe or what? Would appreciate some info on this...thanks in advance.

The drain hose needs to be higher than the top of the water level and yes, there needs to be an air gap so the drain does not siphon. As far as temperature, the machine will automatically put in cold or hot water depending on the temps selected. You cannot get straight hot water from this machine...that is by design. You will have to live with the temps you are given...I know, it sucks!
