Question about Apple iPod touch
Actually, jailbreaking depends on two things: what iDevice you have and what iOS version is in it.
Fortunately, as of today (April 5, 2011), all iDevices in any iOS version can be jailbroken!
Here's one of my tips on jailbreaking iOS 4.3.1 using the latest redsn0w.
Everything you need to execute the jailbreak is in there, the stpes, screenshots and of course, all the softwares (download links provided).
If 4.3.1 is not your version, CLICK HERE to see guides for other iOS versions.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

try holding the home and sleep/power buttons if not... hold the home button and plug it into your computer and continue to hold if not... plug in to the computer then wait until you see the apple logo hold both buttons until the screen is blank then release them. hold them both again until the apple logo appears then continue to hold them until it goes away. release the sleep/power button then hold the home button until it appears in itunes next time jailbreak using blackra1n it is a lot easier

if your iPod came with an old bootrom, then try this guide from eBay:
Unlock + Jailbreak 4.0, 4.0.1
It works perfectly!
To check if you have the old bootrom, use f0recast and if it says Tethered: YES, then you got the new bootrom, meaning, you can't jailbreak.
