If this is a belt drive system, the oil fill is on the base of the compressor side, it is usually a small knob with two bumps on it, designed to open with the fingers or a pair of pliers. you don't pour oil in the breather pipe, some folks put a little oil in the air hose, but its better to put oil in the tool.

After you change the compressor do you need oil.

if you fitted a new ac compressor , they normally come pre oiled so adding oil is not necessary
if you fitted a previously used ac compressor , the amount of oil added has to be measure carefully as there will still be oil in the ac system and pipes
as the gas has to be added by pressure gauges , best if you get an accredited ac specialist add the oil if necessary and fill with gas

CAn we transport a 5 cu. ft. Arctic King Freezer on it's side?

Not really, their is oil in the compressor. If you place on its side, this oil will drain out of the compressor. When you set it upright again. Theirs a good chance the oil will not go back to the compressor.then you will have issues.

What does a new air compressor need before adding frion

did you read the FSM yet or at alldata.com yet, then ask about steps
there that are confusing, or ??? any thing?
air? what air?
the steps for A/C HVAC are all the same.
1: capture the old Freon (liquid gold) or go to jail. (USA)
2: run cleaner through system, to get the debris from death of old compressor out, (if the expansion valve is packed it's hopeless)
3: back together. now. with new receiver dryer.
4: pump it down with the vacuum pump, this removes all moisture , that kills Freon(tm) Dead. A/C loop hates water, in any form.
5: Add the R134 oil. (new unisiveral type)
6: add the freon by weight, do not overfill. FSM tells this,,,, read it.
7; Run it and adjust freon amounts, per the tables in the FSM.
The table shows 2 things, (input) air temp, and humidity, then adjust
pressure per chart.
8: using a vent thermometer check that the system really is at spec.

(i do the elect side, the above, is the loop side. and above is SHORT LIST)

It sounds like you've done just about everything except to check if there is a bad or intermittent wire causing this or perhaps your low-pressure safety cutout switch is possible going bad causing the compressor to kick on and off?

Ive owned the 10x6c for 2 years never used it because of my wiring doesn't have a ground,,let my neighbor borrow it and it doesn't blow cool air I hear the compressor turn on but no cool air?

If the compressor is coming on and the air is not cold, it could be that the freon has leaked out. Easiest way to check for no freon is to take the cover off the unit and run it in cool. The high side which is the smaller line coming into the top of the compressor should be hot, and the low side which is the large line coming off the side of the compressor should be cold when the compressor is running. If there is no temperature difference between the high side and low side tubing, you have no freon. Also check for oil residue once you have the cover off. If you spot oil, you had a leak and have no freon.

I have an Hitachi EC-12 compressor and I need to know how to verify that the oil level is correct. There is a green plastic dip stick but there are no markings on it that I can see indicating where...

Pull the dipstick and notice the notch cut into both sides at bottom (push dipstick all the way in to check oil level). Fill to top of notch. Lowest safe oil level is bottom of notch. This unit does not hold much oil. Always use the compressor on level ground (tilted compressor could cause a lack of lubrication). Good luck

Installed new air conditioning compressor in 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix - how much compressor oil do I need to put in?

If you have not cleaned out the ac system, the ac system will have oil in it,but, the compressor most likely does not have any in it,so pour about 4 to 5 oz in the low side opening on the compressor before installing it,and turn the center nut of the compressor clutch about 8 to 10 times, oil will try and come out the high side, when it does, this will be enough turning. If the system needs more oil,add as needed when freon is put in the system. If the oil is not added to the ac compressor before installing, the compressor could be damaged. Please rate if this was helpful, thank you.

Cheap oil-less compressor, normal.
If you don't like it, buy one that uses oil and a drive belt.
