Question about Schlage Camelot Deadbolt Keypad, Satin Nickel #BE365VCAM619

The lock quit working (no lights on keypad) I installed a new battery but it still doesnt' work. The keypad doesn't light, like it is not getting any power. I checked all the connections?

There's a wealth of info under that heading. You will be able to see a PDF file of the original print instructions, as well as a video of how to install the lock. This is useful because there should be a sticker to be found on the backside of the keypad, with the code number that you need to reprogram the lock. This installation video (second item down) will be useful to allow you to disassemble it and view the sticker. This is also a great time to change the 9-volt battery!
The seventh item under that same header is a video which walks you through how to reprogram the keypad to your new code, using that program code that you found on the backside of the keypad.

I have the kwikset keypad that is supposed to light up and it did for awhile since I've had it for several months and now all of a sudden it won't light up. The batteries are fine and I tried new batt

Try this:

To make the keys light up when you want to enter your code, you have to push the lock button on the keypad first. If the keypad light never comes on, open the door and manually lock the interior lock, then press the keypad lock button. The above instructions should then work.

When i try to turn on my slvr the keypad will light up for a few seconds then turn off...I tried taking out the battery and replacing it wit a brand new 1 without any luck. I also tried just pluging it...


Hi, problem can be solved.
What causes the keypad will light up for a few seconds then turns off, is because the keypad has a separate function from the phone. (it has a removable keypad). And the keypad inside the cell phone is getting Bad and it needs to be replaced.

The Phone is fine all keypad lights only come on when you are in a dark place it works on a sensor I assume this is a feature created by Nokia to save battery power

Powerbolt 1000 started beeping and quit functioning


  • Take out batteries and unplug powerstrip.
  • Let it sit for 1 minute, then put the batteries back in and wait another minute.
I contacted customer support... they tell me the FAQ information on their own website is incorrect. The opposite is true, therefore the following is correct:
  • If it does not beep, the powerboard needs to be replaced
  • If the unit continues to beep, the keypad needs to be replaced
Here in Canada, they will send you a new one within 3-5 days free of charge. Call customer support:

Keypad doesn't light up.


If this is a battery operated lock then the backlight doesn't stay on (otherwise it will wear the batteries out). To make the keys light up when you want to enter your code you have to push the lock button on the keypad first. If the keypad light has never come on then open the door and manually lock the interior lock then press the keypad lock button then the above instructions will work. This is the solution I got from Kwikset customer support and it worked for me. Hope this helps you.
