Do you mean how do you change the bag?
If so, there is a latch for the front cover below the on/off switch. Lift the latch and remove the cover. There is a lever at the top left of the compartment near the top of the bag. Push this lever to the left and pull out the cardboard collar on the bag and remove bag. Put in a new one in reverse order. If you don't have the bag in correctly the cover won't close.

Good luck,

Handie Andie

I like to change the cable

ou will need to disassemble the dash to get the cable out. You need to remove the bezel around the instrument cluster and the cable snaps into the back of the cluster. It routes through the firewall and under the vehicle to the back of the transmission where there is a knurled nut that you will likely need a pair of pliers to remove. I don't know how much detail you need, so if you can let me know where you need specific info, I can get it to you. All that being said, where the cable goes onto the transmission, there is a housing held in by one bolt. Remove this bolt and work the housing out of the transmission. On the end, there is a plastic gear. These sometimes get stripped. Check it before going after the cable.

My Dyson dc 18 slim extender wand has NO suction. There is a plastic white cylinder object blocking.

If the floor head has suction and the wand does not, or vice-versa, the white cylinder you are referring to diverts the suction between the floor head and wand. If the flimsy plastic switch used to turn the cylinder is broken, you may need a new under carriage or just set the cylinder to wand or floor manually and use it as a one dimension cleaner. Depending on your ability, perhaps the switch can be purchases and replaced by a DIYer, but the job looks moderately difficult.

When I push the button to release the water to start the steam process, nothing happens

you will need to remove the heater coil that is located in the handle, remove and mark allthe hoses and wires then remove the screws from the plate on the coil, make sure to not lose the red seals you will see alot of calcium build up use a brush to clean the maze that is inside and use a toothpick to make sure that all of the inlet and outlet holes for the hoses are clear put it all back together and you should have fixed your problem let me know thanks Don

I cannot get the top of the dust cylinder to empty it

check for any switches, latches or buttons that me lever, slide, twist or completely remove your cylinder.

These have been designed to be intuitive to use. (I know sometimes these machines appear counterintuitive). Patience and you can find the way.

What model/make of vacuum, and we may be able to find a manual explaining how to empty cylinder.
