Question about LG RU-42PZ71 42 in. EDTV-Ready Plasma Television
It's very difficult to obtain OEM stands for older TVs. This stand has been out of production for several years and new ones are more or less impossible to get.
The service manual lists the part number as 3501V00166B, but searches for this part show this number to be something entirely different. I believe the correct part number to be 4950V00146 but I'm still waiting for confirmation on this. I will let you know as soon as I have confirmed 100%.
I don't want to spend too much time locating suppliers without knowing your location. If you are in the US, the following supplier has the item in stock:
Price: $64.99 + shipping
The part is listed for the RU-42PZ61, but the PZ71 uses the exact same stand. I have verified this before posting and you would not be able to tell the two models apart if you stood them side-by-side.
I have confirmed with RetechTV that the item is in stock, but they did inform me that the stand is used and has some minor cosmetic damage (scuffs / light scratches). If you would like more information on the actual condition, please contact RetechTV on the number above.
I did find one more, but it looks in poor condition from the images provided:
Price: $41.97 + shipping (in-stock)
If you are outside of the US and/or you would like me to find alternative suppliers, please let me know your location and I will try to find a supplier in your country. I think your chances of locating a new stand are pretty slim, but there are new (non-OEM) stands available which attach to the VESA wall-mount fixings on the back of the TV.
Hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please let me know by clicking on "Add a Comment" below your question.
