What kind of oil does a northstar model # 157550b take

THATS A HONDA ENGINE , SO IT TAKES Honda 08207?10W30 IN THE ENGINE AND STRAIGHT 30 WT NON DETERGENT IN THE PUMP OR YOU CAN BUY IT RIGHT FROM NORTHERN PUMPS SUPPLY AS WELL
ALLWAYS CK PUMP OIL WHEN FILLING GAS TANK AS SOME MINOR OIL LOSS IS NORMAL ON USED PUMPS AND IF OIL BECOMES WHITE LIKE MILK THEN IT NEEDS REPLACED RIGHT AWAY (WATER CONTAMINATION ) IF OIL USE GOES OVER 1 QT FOR EVERY 12 HRS OF USE THEN PUMP NEEDS REBUILT

How do i change the thermostat on a '02 rodeo V6?

Hi, you have to start by removing the fuel pump fuse and start car, when it dies try to start again, no more spluttering just cranking, the fuel system is now depressurised. You can now disconnect both of the quick disconnect fuel lines at rear lower section of inlet manifold this is hard to get to some access this by removing the EGR valve so you can get your arms down there watch out for sharp edges of manifold. You dont need to take the top section of the inlet manifold off but will need new lower inlet manifold gaskets to head. Once manifold is off block all intake ports with rag or put tape over ports to stop dirt and stuff falling into ports while continuing to work on the coolant pipes below to get to thermostat. Undo only 4 long centre bolts and the 4 nuts, one in each corner(no.3 in picture).

Water is leaking from inlet/outlet area. is that a heat exchanger problem?

If there is a water leak in between the pool/spa plumbing and the inlet/outlet manifold, it just needs a new gasket if it is a plastic manifold, and if it is a cast iron manifold, the 2" threads for inlet and outlet need to be unthreaded, then coated with a pipe sealant (non-teflon) then rethreaded.

If this leak is in between the outer and inner inlet/outlet manifold peices, then a new gasket is needed. The part number for that gasket is: 006713f.

If the leak is coming from inside the cabinet and leaking down the interior or exterior, it could be a heat exchanger issue.

The most likely event is that the o-ring that seals the header manifold is worn and needs to be replaced.
This would take about 30 minutes of labor and an o-ring.

Please vote positively if this has helped.
