Check your fuses. If that is not the issue, then I would recommend that you remove the radio, and see if there is an in-line fuse, or a fusible link that has blown. If that is not the issue, then the unit may be fried and in need of replacing.

Radio stopped working. Screen would go back and forth from dark to light blank. Unable to turn on or off. Had to remove battery from radio to stop the alternating sequence. Reinstalling battery and...

Either Battery is dead, not charged, or needs to be replaced. Try using another charger overnight and see if takes care of the problem. If not replace the battery. If you have a volt meter you can check the voltage on the battery and on the charger. Expected output voltage is marked on the battery and the charger. You can pick up a cheat volt meter at your local auto parts or hardware store and will help you diagnose your problems.

Turned radio off, then tried to turn back on. Radio not go back on and now there is a blank screen.

your radio has a fuse in the fuse box generally by your feet or under the hood. it could have popped out because of an active use of your cars electricity. try checking the fuse if it is broken replace it. if it is fine but just popped out push it back in.

Monitor goes blank

Well, I do not think that there is an actual solution for that problem. I had that exact problem and I had to throw mine away. Turn it in to where you bought it and see if they can repair it. Otherwise they will have to replace it.

Sirius problem

I have the same problem, when I contact Xact (through e-mail) they said that the unit would have to be replaced. They didn't say that THEY would replace it, but said it had to be replaced.
