Set carb after putting a new kit in

Hi, Herbert the carburetor throttle shaft wheel has two cables the cable closest to the right side of the bike is the throttle cable and the one closest to the left side is the idle cable. Right about the middle between the two is the idle adjustment bolt it faces out towards the air filter end of the carb . The engine should be at operating temperature with the enrichener off to set the idle between 950-1050 rpm. Turn the idle adjustment bolt clockwise to increases idle speed and counterclockwise to decrease idle speed. If you have access to your air fuel mixture bolt you may adjust it as well if not there is a video below on how to gain access, make sure you start with clean or new spark plugs. Gently turn the air fuel mixture bolt clockwise until it starts to bottom out "STOP" do not over tighten as it will damage the taper on the end, now back it out 2 full turns to establish a starting point start the engine and check the idle rpm's and adjust the idle adjustment bolt accordingly for 950-1050 rpm if necessary, adjust the air fuel mixture bolt 1/4 turn at a time and let the engine settle for about 10 seconds, clockwise for a leaner mixture and counterclockwise for a richer mixture you are seeking the highest rpm your air fuel mixture bolt can acquire without going past 3 full turns from bottom then readjusting the idle adjustment bolt back down to 950-1050 rpm If you can not detect any rpm change and can not stall the engine by turning the air-fuel mixture bolt all the way in then your pilot/low-speed jet is too big. Final adjustment should be made with a clean air filter mounted to the carburetor. Good luck and have nice a day.

My artisan mixer will not turn back on

Make sure it's unplugged, remove and inspect the carbon brushes one at a time under those black screws on the side. They are keyed with one corner of the square ground off so will only go in properly one way so eyes open when you take them out. If they are less than 10mm long replace them. Next would be look under the back cover for a broken wire to the black square speed control plate. Broken wires are only likely to be one of the bottom 2 on either side. Any more testing is going to require a multimeter.

My Teac sl-a100 record player sounds like a chipmunk

hi,
somewhere on that player is a switch for 78-45-33 rpm the speed switch look up around by the tone arm above by where the record goes, it may not be on the front. switch it to the correct record you have 45's are small. 78's are medium and 33rpms are the big records..

I have a 2003 volkswagen jetta. i need to remove the glass on the front drivers side and front passenger side doors and replace it with new glass.after i remove the door panel how do i do this?

The panels have 3 t20 torx screws on the bottom and one philips head near the mirror. Under pull handles there are 3 philips on the drivers and 2 philips on the passengers sides. Pull the panels from the bottom and lift the panels up. There are 2 black rubber plugs in each door, pop each plug out and the glass is held in place to the clips on each side with either a 10 mm bolt or t30 torx bolt. Move the glass to the point where you can see the bolts, loosen, but don't remove the bolts. Once loose, you can pull the glass loose. Once loose, lower the window a bit, angle the rear of the glass up and pull it out. The glass may be epoxied in place, as VW had a problem with windows coming loose. If so, try to pop the rubber in the clamp loose (above the bolts you see through the holes) and reinstall it with the window removed.

I have a heavy dump truck and in no load codition at speed over 40 km/h ,when I brake the front axle swings and creates a dangrous condition.can anybody help me for solving this problem

have you checked the leaf spring u-bolts to make sure they are tight and not broken?you might raise the front of the truck and check all of the steering linkages for looseness ,one other thing, while the truck is in the air go to each front tire and see if they have a lot of play side to side or top to bottom.

Try replacing the cables first. If the cables are getting too stretched, maybe you can get more life out of your shifters with fresh cabling..

1992 chevy blazer idols too low when engine is cold it idols around 800 rpm but when it warms up it drops down to around 400 rpm n alittle lower when i put it in gear

The problem is in the idle air control motor. It is mounted on the throttle body with two bolts, you can pull it off and make sure it is not caked with carbon also check where it mounts on the throttle body and make sure it is not caked with carbon.

My machine stiches automatically when turned on! Help

It could be because there is a wire pinched in the covers to look for or a bad L-print circuit board BUT... Because the foot pedal is not jammed does not mean it isn't working correctly. Inside the foot pedal are two big springs that lift up what is called a carbon pin housing (that has a hook that attaches to the top of the footcontrol)that has carbon contacts attached to it. When these are lifted up the machine is stopped. When you press the footcontrol down it presses the contacts down and speeds up the machine. So somehow this carbon pin housing hook has become disengaged from the footcontrol and the contacts are sitting at the bottom allowing your machine to start at full speed. If your not afraid to fix this yourself heres what you do... 1. With a small screwdriver go through the tiny hole on the bottom of the foot control and adjust the potentiometer. (the potentiometer will only turn 3/4 of a revolution.) 2. Hold the foot control while removing the 4 screws and the two bridges. 3. Carefully release the housing (spring pressure) but do not pull the housing apart. 4. The top and bottom cover are connected by a hook. (if its not broken off) I think this is your problem since most likely the hook has become unattached. At this point though it would be good for you to clean the strips that the 2 carbon pins slide on with a q-tip and remove old carbon residue. Check to make sure the 2 little black carbon pins are not broken. (if they were the machine would not run at all). Be careful not to hurt the carbon pins) 5. To put this back togeather properly... insert the carbon pin housing into the bottom housing of the foot control (if you took it completely out). 6. Insert the two springs 7. Insert the top cover and hold it down while installing the 2 bridges with the 4 screws. to connect the hook follow the rest of the procedure... 8. Press the bottom and top togeather until 2 loud "clacks" can be heard. The clacks indicate that the hook engaged into the latch. 9. Now operate the footcontrol several times by hand up and down. It must be possible to hear clearly the soft clicking of the micro switch. If the clicking of the micro switch cannot be heard repeat step 1. Good luck. Your only next step will be to bring it to a tech or get a new footcontrol. (spendy) Rick.
