    hello!
did you just followed the right procedure on the manual..Its not clear when you said that the food chute lid will not lock on top cover and confusing when you said it will lock but not when the top is locked.

First of all, you will need to lock the base and the bowl.
    1. Align the bowl handle with the mark on the base, turn the bowl counterclockwise until it clicks into the base. Once in lock position, The bowl handle should be aligned with the mark on the base.
    (see Fig 1)

Secondly, you will need to lock the cover of the bowl (Make sure the Food Chute Lid is open..see the Fig 3)
    1. Place the cover onto the bowl, align the mark on the cover and the mark on the bowl. Twist the cover counterclockwise towards LOCK until it clicks into the bowl, then the mark on the cover should be aligned with the mark on the bowl. (See Fig 2)

Finally, Lock the Food Chute Lid
    1. Grasp the removable loop, rotate the food chute lid to make the removable loop fit into the food chute. (Fig. 3)

    2. Push down the removable loop into the food chute. (Fig. 4)

    3. Push on the tab of removable loop to latch the food chute lid onto the food chute. (Fig. 5)

IMPORTANT: For your protection, this unit has an interlock system. The processor won't operate unless the bowl is properly locked onto base and cover is properly locked onto the bowl, be sure to attach the bowl to the base before attaching the food chute lid on the bowl lid is also on the lock position. Do not attempt to operate the unit without the bowl lid, bowl and food chute lid being correctly in place. Be sure base is on a flat, dry and clean surface before you begin processing.

I hope this information will guide you.

1. Push down on carry handle and
pull dirt container away from unit.

2. Once it is pulled back lift it out.

3. Hold dirt container over trash can and push down on bottom
release lever to release debris.

4. Close bottom cover on the dirt

While you have the dirt container out you can also clean the Lifetime HEPA filter. It is on the top of the dirt container.

container

2. Remove foam filter from dirt container and dump out
any loose dirt. Wash the foam filter.

pull out of lid. Wash the Heap filter.

4. Once the filters are thoroughly dry (I recommend set out for 24 hours) then installer filters in lid and thread back on top of the dirt canister.

Before replacing the dirt canister you can also clean the exhaust filter install below the dirt canister on the top vacuum cleaner head.

I just purchased a floormate. I can't seem to get it to spray cleaning solution.

Turn the cleaner off and then on again to determine whether the cause of no suction resulted from the activation of the automatic shut-off. There are two reasons a tank will automatically shut off. The first is if the recovery tank is full. Located on the lower front panel of the unit, the recovery tank can be easily emptied and replaced into position. To remove from unit, press down on the release button and pull the tank downward and forward. Lift up on the tank latch lid and take out the tank lid. Empty the tank. Also check the tank lid screen for debris and remove any found. To replace the lid, align the tab that corresponds to the front hole of the tank. Snap the latches on the back of the tank. Insert the bottom of the tank back into the cleaner and push in and up until it locks in place.
Turn the unit on again and check the suctioning action. The second reason automatic shut-off could take place is if the handle was raised to an upright position while the motor was running. Should this occur, simply turn the unit off, wait a moment for the shut-off to reset, and turn it on again to continue cleaning.
  • 2 Make sure the filter and filter lid are properly positioned in the recovery tank lid. The cause of the problem could be that the filter or the filter lid were missing or were not in the proper position.
  • 3 Check that both recovery tank and/or solution tanks are locked in place and are positioned properly. The recovery tank is located on the lower front panel of the Floormate, and the solution tank is located in the front top panel of the unit.
  • 4 Observe whether filter is dirty. If the filter is dirty, clean the filter by turning the cleaner off and disconnecting it from the electrical unit. Take out the recovery tank and lid. Remove loose debris from the filter by wiping clean with a brush or tapping the filter over a garbage can. After this is completed, the filter may be rinsed clean for additional cleaning and then air dried before returning the filter to the unit.
  • 5 Check that the nozzle is in the proper position and locked. Locate the nozzle underneath the suctioning base of the unit. Make sure the latches are out and line up the middle section of the nozzle with the opening of the cleaner. Hold the nozzle in place while simultaneously sliding the latches inward to lock in

Carpet setting: the brush drive does not work with the carpet setting. Is there a way to remove the bottom to determine if something is caught in the system?

To determine if you have a clog, first remove the attachment hose like you were going to put an attachment on. With the vacuum in the upright position, turn the vacuum on and place your hand over the hose. Do you feel a strong suction? If not remove the hose attachment by turning the locking ring at the end of the hose on the back of the vacuum counterclockwise, then remove the hose. Stretch the hose to it's fullest length several times. I would do this over some plastic or outside to keep the dust down.
Once you have done this replace the hose turning the locking ring clockwise to lock it in place, give the hose a little tug to make sure it's attached and locked.
Again, with the hose free from the agitator turn the vacuum on and fee for a good suction.
If you still don't have one then you likely have a plugged filter.
You will need to remove the dust bin.44d2af9.jpgOnce the dust bin is removed, over you trash can empty it by pressing the dustbin door release downwards. Now rotate the dustbin lid counterclockwise to remove the primary filter. With the lid removed grasp the filter and turn counterclockwise to remove the filter.
    52c5f65.jpg
Pull the filter out over a trash can. Once out inspect it, if it's dirty you should wash the filter in warm water until the water is clear. When finish let the filter air dry for 24 hours before reinserting it.
Upon reinserting the filter, turn it clockwise to lock it in place, install the filter cover with a clockwise rotation to lock it in place and reinstall the dust bin.
Now plug the vacuum back in and again with the hose removed from the agitator or brush and ready to install an attachment then the vacuum on and you should have a solid suction.
These vacuums are really prone to poor suction if the filter get dirty. Because they have washable filters, you should take time about one a month to clean the filters.
    Thanks Dorrian

I am not familiar with the Bosch vacuums. Sorry! Some vacs have both screws and pressure locks. Turn the vac upside down and look for symbols of a screwdriver with a little arrow pointing at it..

    Dust compartment lid won't close

Hi Depending on the filter you have, you need to check that the filter grid has been securely locked in at the back. Check that it "snaps" down and locks into place. Then check the position of the bag. If the bag is sitting on the rising bag lock slider then the hinged slider needs to be pushed down into the bin. Usually the lid will close and lock down if you remove the hose. Try this to see if it works. Then check to see that the bag is opened out where the hose usually goes - if the mouth of the bag (and this also includes the new HyClean range with the seals already built in) looks out of angle then it has slipped upwards. This usually happens if the bag hasn't been folded out properly and can take milliseconds to put right.
Then put the hose back in and lock into place.

I can't get the cleaner to work, i don't think that I have it connected right. I can't figure out how to lock the top and water holder in place.

That one is a little funny to get on right.

There is a lip on the lid towared the front. That lip has to hook under the tank first and then pull the lid over top the back and latch it on.

    Good Luck

    How to unclog i guess

If this has a foam filter on the bottom side of the recovery tank lid, make sure there is at least a 1/4 in. gap from the top. Also check the filter from the bottom, it has a red frame, clean it off it covered over. The other thing that will cause this is that the lid for the recovery tank is not locked down all of the way around.

    Catch tank empty

Which you had posted your model number, If you have a foam filter on the inside of tyhe recovery tank lid, make sure there is at least a 1/4 in. gap between the lid and the top of the filter. Make sure that the lid is locked down in the back, try to push it up, if it is locked it won't move. If yours has a place for a duct in front of the recovery tank, make sure it is there and pushed all of the way down.

    Rt. elevator arm replacement

Take off the top cover, then you can replace the elevators, they come both sides in a package, part #2000010. When you replace the top cover, check all tubes to make sure they are routed right so as to not pinch one when the cover is locked down. Also there is a piston that attaches to the bottom of the smart mix valve and that the smart mix knob is on the water setting, then put cover back in place and don't over tighten the screw.
