Try lubing the screw gear with a dry lube spray and work the movement up and down. you might have to spray the gibs also to allow easier movement.

How do i remove the carbon brushes from my table saw

They may be burnt and jammed - carefully break them into pieces with a screwdriver (being careful not to damage the brass brush tubes or the copper armature at the end) using compressed air, blow the pieces out and clean the tubes.
Use a flashlight to look down the tubes and inspect the armature as well - if the brushes are burnt into the tubes there may also be damage to the armature.

You possibly have corrosion or contamination built up in the lever pivot point. Disconnect the cable and try lever - if it is stiff or difficult to move, you'll need to take the handle off, clean pivot and contact points with a SOFT wire brush ( brass brush recommended) lube it with white lithium grease and re-install. check for freedom of movement before re-installing cable. If it moves ok but cable is stiff, you'll want to next lube the cable with a liquid spray lube - sometimes the new cables are not properly lubed!!

How to service homelite chainsaw

I take it you have a gas powered saw. Before starting any work on the machine, remove the plug lead.
To service it, remove the blade and guide and clean them all thoroughly. Clean the drive sprocket and its recess, this is best done with compressed air or at least a stiff paint brush. Inspect the chain cutting blades for damage and also the guide links and the groove they run in. Lubricate everything lightly with a thin oil before reassembly.
Check the spark plug, clean it thoroughly (not on a rotary wire brush) or replace it. Clean the air filter by blowing it with compressed air or a vacuum cleaner. If it is too soiled, replace it. Drain the fuel from the tank and check the fuel filter in the fuel tank and clean it if it appears to be dirty or contaminated. Blow the cylinder and the head cooling fins clean with compressed air, this can be done with a brush, but will require the cooling duct to be removed.
That is about all that can be done on a cursory service, anything further will require stripping the carb and removing the exhaust, neither really necessary unless a problem is being experienced. Everything is relatively simple to carry out and should not take too long. Please rate this response.

Table saw stopped when cutting a dense piece of wood. Now just hums when turn it on. Not locked up, the pully will move by hand. Do you think replacing the capacitor will work. No restart button. ...

One thing you might try is to raise blade to highest setting possible and spin blade as rapidly as you can by hand and turn on while blade is still moving. see If motor will go ahead and come up to speed or try to I would replace start capactor. Also check brushes and make sure motor is clean and free from saw dust. Lube motor if equipped with oil ports. I would just use 3-4 drops and wipe off excess. Blow out with compressed air and also make sure belt is not to tight. I hopes this helps you, Thanks

How to clean my white shoes? My shoes are made out of rubber.

These are the steps to clean your shoes: 1.Assess the damage to your shoes. Are they muddy? Scuffed? Or just lightly soiled? 2.Get a good cloth and wrap around it around your hands like brass knuckles. use this to scrub away obvious dirt, mud and grime. 3.Wash the cloth with a liberal amount of soap. Rub the soap all over the white part of the shoes. 4.Get a stiff brush and brush all over the soap covered parts. 5.Wash the soap off with a clean cloth.

My Bosch 4000 table saw will not stay running, it starts then it will just stop. it is not tripping the breaker, any sujections?

The motor control electronc control board ($40.00)is the most likely culprit. When you replace the electronic speed control board be sure and replace the brushes also as they will have very tiny pitting damage ($5.00)
What happens is that when the motor cooling port sucks in the saw dust contaminants the motor brushes and armature develop an intermittent contact which damages the operational characteristics of the control board - so blow motor out often with compressed air to remove contaminants. Don't ever operate this saw without a vacuum saw dust evacuation system (Shop vac,Etc.)!!

How to open the top of the Pfaff 7570 machine to clean

Don't bother going in from the top. Don't take out those two screws you see under the handle...they have nuts on the bottom and will drop off. Instead use a Torex screwdriver (think it is #25) and loosen, do not remove, the screw you see down in the left hand space when you raise handle. Screw head is about 2-3 inches down. Use a flashlight. After loosening screw, pull left cover off to expose lightbulb (easy to change now) and other mechanical stuff...you can use compressed air to blow out lint or a brush. Usually not needing oil, but a very little on some of the moving parts helps.
