One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they are probably old and faulty a computer needs its connections to have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

Why won't My words with friend open?

Sometimes an application can simply get stuck in a loop. Double tap your home button & you'll see a list of all your open apps. In iOS 6 or older you'll see the apps listed only at the bottom. Everything else will be blurred. Hold down on an app until they all wiggle & press the x to close all of them. In iOS 7 & newer they'll show up as slides. Simply swipe them up to close. I recommend a power cycle after doing this. Make sure the device is not plugged in. Hold the home button & power button at the same time until you see an apple on the screen. This will reboot & relaunch the software. It solves a lot of these performance problems.

I put anygame in, it sounds like a copying machine when i close it it goes for 5 seconds than stops and than it does one big long one and says open tray, i did everything. any suggestions please?

It sounds like there is a problem with the disc drive itself. Did you ever move the system while it was running? This can sometimes cause problems with the drive. Other than that, Microsoft is notorious for not always building machines that are built to last forever, and depending on how much you have used it and how old it is, it could simply be "dead". Although I'm sure there are people who could fix it, my advice would be to call Microsoft customer support and explain the situation, and then send it in to be repaired.

Olympus FE-46 shows Card-cover open error. Cover is closed.

Hi, I have solved this problem in a Olympus Fe-20 camera. First of all, I will explain the facts of the problem. When closing the cover, inside the camera, there is a switch that get closed. This switch is like a door that opens or closes a electric contact. So when this switch is broken it does not join the contacts, so the camera thnks that the card cover is still open. Taking out some screws of the plastic tap of the touch screen, you will see, the touch screen fixed with a special conector. With a small screw driver take the black part up, and then you will manage to take out te touch screen. Then you have to take out the the board where the touch screen was fixed, taken out some screws , and disconneting the card from a similar conector than the one of the touch screen. So you can take out this board, and see that you have reach the main board of the camera. If you close the card cover, you can see in the main board the switch that opens/closes a contact due to the position of the cover. The switch has 4 welding points. You will have to take it out, by a tin solder. Then put a tin in the left down welding point and fix with a wire to the rigth up welding point. Fix the boarding card with its conector, fix the touch screen with its conector, and try to switch the camera on. If OK, fix everything up. If not, have a look at the contacts welded, that the problem is there. Hope to be helpfull.

I have a Lexmark 3400 saying cover open. I've check several web sites and found explainations that seem much too involved. At this point, I'd like to give it a try rather than buying a new...

this happens if the lever arm of cover sensor has fallen off'. if you take the scanner part off the top, and the grayish plastic bit unscrewed and popped off, there is a white nylon lever arm that should be seen sticking up thru a rectangular hole...roughly about 1/2" to the right of the printhead behind it. This lever arm clips onto a microswitch/sensor (the lid switch).you can pop the white nylon bit back on and press to fix, .
This sensor is mounted on the circuit board about midway across, and you can see it if you look straight down, through the hole in the black plastic shrouding that covers the circuit board.
It might be possible to snap the part back on without partial disassembly, or simply shove something in there to hold the sensor in the 'closed' possition .hope this helps?thanks and Godbless

Computer not letting me open or close anything.

In some cases, the motherboard causes the screen to go blank and not load any program. Thats what happened to my HP Laptop. I called the company and explained them that nothing will load up and the screen went blank and they replaced the Motherboard.

So In tis case I think You need a new Motherboard.

Thank You and have a Great Day!!!!!

Really Dark Viewfinder

That would explain the darkness if the lens is stopped down. It would seem the aperture control is faulty on the camera body. Normally, the aperture remains open until you take the picture. It is only closed down while the shutter is open.

Mouse problem? m200

THe Problemis that the little membrane pad for the mouse is no making full contact. What you need to do, is open the case, and look where the mouse pad is, and see if it can be forced closer to the protective layer. If this does not solve the problem, you may have to send the laptop back to the manufacturer for them to fix.

Canon A520 Everything works, except the button you take pictures with. It wont work.

I need more information about what symptoms you are experiencing. I am going to guess that your shutter is stuck closed. This would cause a blank image to show on the view screen and your captured pictures. The regular icons and text would still display normally. Is this what you are seeing? If not please explain further what is happening and I will respond again with more information. David Millier Advance Camera Repair

There is a plasic cover that goes over the gear behind the screen on the left side. Take a look at that, it might be jammed in the gear prventing it from open or close.
