My water dispenser works great, however water continues to flow for a few seconds. The problem seems to get worse as the water flows for longer and longer every year. The unit is in a summer home and is drained over the winter.

This could be a freeze up in the line or blockage or the filtre is plugged and needs changing. If you go to the website and type in the model number there is a lot of information there as how to service it.
Hi Alan, You need to check the wires on the back of the dispenser console to be sure that they are seated correctly. If the wires are all OK, you will need to replace the display console. Here is the part to order.
The part comes with a 365 day, any part, any reason return policy.
Hello there, when new filters are fitted usually they are expected to spurt for a little bit before they normalize and begin to flow properly. Dispense water continuously for 10 minutes. This usually arises when the flow of water through the unit not being allowed through properly and usually takes the new filter a couple of minutes to get accustomed to the water flow and get water circulating through all its components hence the spurts. Alternatively you can check to ensure that the water supply is turned on full and the filter is properly fitted. If all of these are in place then the dispense mechanism might be faulty. Hope this support has been helpful? Thank you for visiting FixYa.
If it overfills and drips, look for an adjustment behind the plastic endcover with a +/- on it. - is less water. If it continuously drips, replace the water inlet valve on the back where the house water supply comes in.
Ice maker water not stopping The water inlet valve may be staying open. You can swap the wires on the dual water inlet valve and disconnect the water line at the valve which goes to the ice maker. When you try the water dispenser the water will come out there. When you stop the water dispenser, if the water at the valve doesn't stop, the valve isn't closing so you'll need to replace it. If it does stop after trying it several times then the problem is with the ice maker.
First be sure the refrigerator is connected to a cold water supply.
After connecting the refrigerator to a water source or replacing the water filter, flush the water system. Use a sturdy container to depress and hold the water dispenser lever for 5 seconds, and then release it for 5 seconds. Repeat until water begins to flow. Once water begins to flow, continue depressing and releasing the dispenser lever (5 seconds on, 5 seconds off) until a total of 12 L has been dispensed. This will flush air from the filter and water dispensing system, and prepare the water filter for use. Additional flushing may be required in some households. As air is cleared from the system, water may spurt out of the dispenser.
One or two drops of water immediately after dispensing is normal. It may be necessary to hold the container under the dispenser for 2 to 3 seconds after releasing the dispenser lever.
you have to reset the pressure stabilization feature in the water filter circuit before it will deliver a continuous flow of water . sometimes the directions are on the filter itself . if not , you'll have to look it up in your owner's manual or perhaps go online to obtain the information .
check to make sure there is water or ice in your ice maker tray. If none then problem is usually a water supply issue to the ice maker. Behind the frig are the water supply inlet valves. One is for the water dispenser in the door. THe other is for the ice maker. However when one goes bad they both are replaced as one unit. Also Check position of fingers in ice maker. If not in a vertical position
then try to reset the ice maker unit and worse comes to worse, replace
it with a new one.
