What you should do is either make an ad-hoc connection directly to the your pc or go to your local electronics store and by a NAS, its a wireless hard-drive i have a 1TB lacie works amazingly and its very secure
hope this helped

Sorry, I accidently hit the enter button before I had finished. He said I didn't need NAS for the small number of connections I have. Anyway, thx for your help.

I lost my network adapters in my computer

I kind of need a little more info ie: operating system and what you have tried and what happened before you noticed they were lost. I am assuming you did not physically lose them. I can say though that windows xp, Vista and certainly win7 should detect them on startup and alert you or in Vista and win7 auti install.

Setup a new network under Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Setup a New connection > Setup a new Network. You need to make the Desktop as an Access point network. This will allow the Netbook to use the Desktop as a "router" and connect threw it to the internet. This is most likely the most time consuming way of doing it. The best bet would to pick up a cheap netgear or linksys router for better stability and ease of access.

I want to share an HP 7760 on an XP with Win 7

To get ahead of myself and answer your question first, your Win 7 machine may automatically load a driver for your shared printer.

Please have a look at the procedure below: (these instructions assume that your XP machine is sharing the HP printer and that your Win 7 laptop can "see" your network and the shared printer connected to your XP desktop computer)

On the Win7 machine, follow these steps:

1) In "Control Panel" click "Add local printer"
2) Create New Port > Local port
3) Port Name is "\\xpcomputername\printername" - without the quotes

(insert the XP's real network name and your printer's real name in the above location)

4) Click <OK>

5) Windows 7 should automatically load a driver allowing you to print on the HP connected to the XP from the Win7 laptop.

I hope this helps!

Try upgrading the Routers firmware settings, before you do that make sure that you take down the settings , as you will have to resetup your network .

Keep losing wireless network on laptop. completely disappears and can not find it to reconnect

Hi..
I was having the same issue with my notebook. I was losing connectivity to the internet at both home and office through my browsers and outlook consistantly after boot up for approximately 10 minutes. The only way to get more connectivity was to reboot my machine (ten more minutes). Emachines help desk was no help. Their fix all response was to format the harddrive and start over. What I did to fix it was:

Start
Control Panel
Network Connections
There, I disabled the wireless network connection and waited for the hourglass to go away. Then reenabled it and have had wireless connectivity since.

Good Luck ;-)
