The Nintendo DS does not support certain WiFi protection types, such as WPA. Is your wireless protected with WEP or something else?

Nintendo eshop error code 007-2670

Make sure you are connected to the internet on your DS. If should have an indicator at the top of the screen (it looks like an antenna), it shows your signal strength. If you have no signal or are not connected to your wifi, you will not be able to get to the eshop.

I know some of the older DS units can not connect to routers with WPA encryption.

Make sure your DS has the latest updates. Sometimes nintendo changes things and if you do not have the latest update you can not connect.

DON'T HAVE SECURITY SUPPORT FOR MY WIFI CONNECTION FOR DSLITE

The problem is the fact the nintendo ds only supports only one security setting which is 128 bit wep. You were probaly trying to connect to a modem with wpa2 or something else. If you want your ds to connect, consult your modem's manual to change the security to 128 Bit WEP and think of a ten character password (no less or it won't work).

If there is no Nintendo user around you then I would not worry about this setting/feature.

I'm having a problem with my NintendoDs. I can't go online. I tries to connect my ds to my thomson tg585 wireless router but it wont work. Everytime I try, It says ''The access point's security settings...

I had the same problem.

what i did was i went out a bought a "Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector" which connects to you computer and alows access to the internet with ds and wii. But inorder to install it, you need to have Windows XP, there might be a downloadable version for other Windows on Nintendo.com. You computer must be on for it to work though

Update

im sorry but you might have to be a bit more specific. I dont think u can update a ds game. and u cant connect it to the computer. the possible putcome i gathered from that is that he wants to play his game online and trade pokemon etc. meaning u need to connect the ds to your computer wirelessly using a
-nintendo wi-fi usb connector-( a usb drive u basically plug into ur computer and gives off internet for nintendo products) or a -wireless router or modem- ( the black box that the cables go through for internet).

When your grandson plays the game and wants to go online, (i will explain how to use this using directions in the game)
1. turn on the ds and load the game
2. watch the introduction movie (shiny pokemon)
3. on the main screen where you decide to either continue, new game, or -NINTENDO WFC SETTINGS-, go to nintendo wfc settings
4.tap the blue box labelled nintendo wi-fi connection settings
5.if ur using a Wi-fi usb tap connect to wifi usb or if using wireless internet tap a blank connection square
6. follow the prompts for the wifi usb and u will be connected to the internet
7. for wireless internet, tap search for an access point
8. when it has found the wireless internet tap O.K/connect/next etc and follow the prompts
9.when thats connected return to pokemon Diamond main screen then tap new game/continue to play
10. walk to the pokemon centre and go downstairs to battle online - or go into a house in
(Jublife city?) to trade pokemon online

WOAH!! that was a lot of writing!
hope i helped plz make a comment or something if u need my help again

Error code 51301 when trying to set up WIFI connection between DS and a 2Wire router

Did this connection used to work but has suddenly stopped? "Power cycle" your router and modem. To do this, unplug both the modem and the router from the power outlet. Wait a few minutes, and plug the modem back in. Wait a couple of minutes for the modem to initialize, then plug in the router. Try to connect the Wii, Nintendo DS, or Nintendo 3DS online and test for proper response.
Change your router's channel setting to 1 or 11. By default, most routers broadcast on channel 6, which overlaps with other channels and may be weaker. For help doing this, click here and select your router brand and model (if available). The information you need is found in the "Broadcast Channel:" area.
