Question about Garden

Open Question

I own a Karcher B403, which I have had for a few years. The Inlet elbow and the delivery elbow have both been damaged by the frost which has caused them to split. I am finding difficulty in obtaining spare parts, have you any suggestions. John

My karcher seems to pulse when on, could this be due to the low water pressure from the hose?

I do not have specific experience of your machine.
However, the high pressure pump will be controlled by a pressure switch on the high pressure outlet to the pipe and jet.
Pulsing (turning off) suggests that the outlet (high pressure) pipe is blocked or partially blocked. Try checking the nozzle and (with the unit turned off) clearing it with a fine piece of wire.
Hope this works

Hi i have a karcher k4.91 and it is lossing pressure and leaking from inside the casing..what would be the likely cause.. many thanks

This could be a problem in the pump, the seals may have been damaged if it is an older machine through age. You could check a local karcher supplier/dealer and they should be able to replace that for you. Another problem maybe that an inlet elbow could be loose and does not seal correctly so it may need replacing.

These solutions depend on what area inside the machine the water is leaking from.

Karcher power spray frost damage

I've found the most useful repair people for power washers are lawn mower repair techs. Give them a ring and see if they do house calls, they'll be your best bet.

Water spraying out of the front vent of unit.

Dear zenith 10deg,
The outlet elbow attached to the head inside must have cracked. Leakage from selas do not that much spraying. Spraying are almost always caused by the cracking of the outlet elbow or the cracking of the head itself. The inlet elbow also makes a lot of spraying wheb broken, especialy if inlet water pressure is high. To see exactly from where the spraying is coming out, one must for sure remove the cover. Removing the cover must be done, because just the same one has to fix the problem.

My Karcher HD 1050 DE has lost pressure, ive had new valves put on it but still has no go in it

could be allsorts. seals worn. ceramic pistons split, inlet manifold split( frost damage), unloader valve sticking, etc etc.

Put mains water pressure onto it and look for leaks, then run machine and see if it increases pressure, if not i would suspect unloader valve sticking.....

Not very familiar with the 1050 but i'm a service engineer for high press cleaning equipment...
