Question about Linksys WUSB300N Wireless Adapter

Internet not changing pages

Hello,

I am having a problem. I recently purchased my Linksys adapter for the wireless internet. It says i am connected to the wireless internet, and it will even show the homepage. It scrolls up and down quickly, however when i type something in, either to do a search or to click on a link, it pops up with an error message, saying that it needs to close. I have tried burning an anti-virus program from another computer, and it will show up, but since it's not an original disk, it will not download. Any ideas on how to fix this? (I've already deleted all the temporary internet files, and cookies.)

How do I install a new one? would I have to go buy a disc from the store? I have tried burning one onto a disc, and it reads, but it won't download it. Any suggestions? Thank you! ;)

It may be a browser problem. You can try to re-install the current browser you are using or try installing a different browser.

An alternative way of installing a new browser is to download one first on a different computer (try mozilla firefox since it's free). Once you have downloaded the EXE program, you case save it on a flash drive. The file is not that big ( almost 8MB) but if you have no flash drive, you can burn it on a CD. Once you have it on the flash drive or CD, copy and paste it on the computer having a browser problem. Then run the program from that computer to install it.

I think you might be using the Linksys utility.
you can switch over to windows utility if it is XP or VISTA.
that will resolve the problem.
make sure that it will be connected to the network and should have proper IP address

No internet access with new Linksys wireless PCI Adapter

Don .bin is a firmware that can upload to the linksys router or any router.

So it seems that your unable to connect wirelessly using the linksys adapter? The Internet connection before is working properly?

*I might advise you to reinstall the driver of your wireless adapter using the latest driver that you can download in there support site.

- Check the Internet connection hardwired to the router if connection works it seems that problem is on the adapter.

No you do not, but you do need some form of a wireless router to make that Internet connection wireless. Depending on which modem you have that connects to the Internet, you might already have a wireless router.

You should have an RJ-45 cable connected from your ADSL modem to your router's internet RJ-45 plug then download network magic or similar software to input your user name and password on the router. this way you'll have internet even if your computer is turned off.

USB cannot connect to wireless network

"Page cannot be displayed" means "no internet connection".

Go to Start > All programs (XP) and look for Linksys. There should be a "manager" or some type of program. Run it, And look for a tool that will change from "AP mode" to "station mode". Once it makes the change, the networks should pop up. Select yours.
