Must be the heating element. These are fairly easy to check.
Remove the back dust cover and check the components.

E15 error code on hoover tumble dryer

Controls
  • The control unit on the tumble dryer will vary among different makes and models. The main purpose of the controls is to allow the user to select the drying cycle. You can choose the time and temperature setting on most units, while others allow custom settings such as moisture sensors and end-of-cycle alert signals. The controls may include a dial or a touch panel and LED screen display. Some tumble dryers allow you to independently select the appropriate time for the load you are drying and separate programs for temperature.
Motor
  • The motor inside the tumble dryer spins the basket to allow the clothes to tumble while being dried. The tumbling action allows the air to pass through the clothing to dry them faster. Heating laundry that is stagnant will likely dry the clothing on the outside while leaving damp clothing inside the pile. The constant motion, along with the heat and steam created by heating the clothing, reduces wrinkles. The motor also powers the fan that delivers the heated air to the basket of laundry. The heater can be an electrical element or gas powered.

My Whirlpool dryer tumbles but no heat. The clothes dry after along period of time and that is when i finally feel some heat.

Probably needs a good cleaning. If it was me I would remove the filter housing and do a through cleanup. make sure the vent going outside is not blocked. The dryer must have adequate airflow to work well.

My dryer runs but does not heat up or dry clothes. What could be the problem?

I have a Kenmore dryer and it runs but won't heat up and dry the clothes. I don't hear the ignition even turn over. Please help. I can't afford to buy a new dryer at this time.

Wed9200sq0 heats, tumbles but does not dry at any heat setting

You are correct. Pull the dryer out and disconnect your venting from the back of the dryer. Turn your dryer on and check to make sure your dryer is blowing air out of the dryer duct. If it is then leave your dryer out at least 2 ft from the wall and run a load of clothes through the dryer. If it dries your clothes normally then you have a venting restriction. Check to make sure your venting is clean, not kinked or smashed, make sure your outside vent is opening an doesn.t have something blocking it. Check your lint screen filter by running water through it. If water is not flowing through it, you have a build up of fabric softener on your screen, blocking air flow. Scrub your screen off and test again. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

Dryer will not dry clothes after 60 minutes in the dryer clothes still wet just like they had just come out of the washer.

The reason you are not getting the cloths dry after 60 minutes and are just as wet is airflow or rather the lack thereof.

First verify that you dryer is actually starting, (I know... you're thinking, duh!) but simple things first. Let the dryer run on high heat for about 2 minutes and open the door. See if there's actually heat coming out of the door. If there is, that's a good sign. Did the drum seem to be tumbling? if yes, this also is a good sign.

Next turn the dryer to fluff/no heat and turn it on. Go outside and check the dryer vent (if possible) and see if there is a reasonable amount of airflow coming out. Most likely it will be weak (since your cloths aren't drying.) Now that you have checked that, go inside, disconnect the dryer hose on the back of the dryer. Compare the airflow from the outside vent. If it is considerably stronger than outside, your ducting needs cleaned. If it is about the same and still weak, something is blocking airflow in your dryer.

Here's a decision point. If you feel you don't want to try to fix the dryer yourself, get someone qualified or take it to a qualified maintenance shot for the dryer. If you feel up to the task, FIRST unplug the dryer, then you'll have to disassemble the dryer (can't give you specifics without the model number) and find the clog and remove it. Once the clog is removed (very likely lots of lint and maybe even a sock or two) reassemble the dryer, hook the vent hose back up, plug it in, try to dry your cloths.

Hope that helps

Dryer heats, tumbles clothes, blows air out exhause vent, but wont dry clothes

what type is this electric or gas? have you removed the exsaust from the wall and ran a load like this? if you have heat and this is an electric dryer it sounds like you have a blockage in your house. if the dryer runs fine without the exsaust attached then that is your problem. let me know

Dryer Heats - Drum Turns - Clothes Don't Dry - Dryer Seems To Over Heat

Before ripping into the dryer, with the dryer running, check the vent outside. There should be a rather strong air flow. I'll bet you have little or maybe no air flow. Check behind the dryer to make sure you don't have squished flex duct. If you have flex pipe, try running the dryer for a few minutes with the dryer pulled out into the room to stretch the vent out, and check outside airflow again. Try to eliminate all or as much of the flex stuff as you can, replacing it with aluminum dryer vent pipe. (tape joints with foil duct tape) Clean out remaining dryer vent. (there are special brushes you can buy to clean out vents, but they really only work on ridgid pipe.)
