I am getting the paper jam light, I have looked everywhere and there is no paper jam. Is there another item that would cause the sensor to read jam. What can I do to fix?

I have a brother and have had paper jams I couldn't find before. Try pulling out the toner cartridge. It could be inside of that area where you can't see it from the regular openings.

Paper jam in px 710

The next step it to test each sensor, both mechanically and electrically. Get really good light on the sensors, sometimes little hairs cause a false read. Verify that each sensor opens and closes electrically when actuated.

My OKI 5200 is saying it has a paper jam open front cover there is no paper jammed and i have looked everywhere for a problem and cannot find one. Still it won't print until the paper jam problem is...

Mine did the same once and although at first I was convinced it was the printer reading incorrectly, in the end, after opening all the parts that open up, I did find a sheet of paper wrapped around the rollers at the back.

My printer states that it has a paper jam but I took the paper out and there were no bits of paper in the printer or any missing from the piece of paper. It will not reset. It just says ''paper jam''.

What model is it? If it is a newer model it has a multiple paper feed sensor. This multiple paper feed sensor shines a light through the paper on the first pass, calculates the density of light emitted through the paper.. then subsequent sheets it looks for approximately the same density. If it drags two sheets through the light is different.. it shuts down and gives you a paper jam. I currently have 2 RP 3700's.. One of them has this problem and it is sidelined until I get a new sensor or light. I have the same problem. I've cleaned the machine thoroughly too. Really make shure that this is not the problem. I have a flexible plastic ruler I slide through my machine to make shure there's no bits of paper stuck anywhere.. Even some ink could cause the problem. blocking out the sensor. It could be the little light is burnt out and no light is making it to the sensor, or the sensor is burnt and won't read. What kind of machine do you have?

Says there is a paper jam but we looked everywhere and there is no paper stuck anywhere in the machine

soes it say original jam or just paper jam if the jam is in th document feeder part open the top and check the sensors where the paper goes trhough.you may have to take the toner/drum unit out to reset the jam also if there is a door on the back open and close this to reset the sensors. If there was no paper the first time check the paper tray by pulling out and then look inside where the tray sits as the poaper might be stuck there.. also check the tray in that the paper sits tight in the guides and the rollers that feed are not dirty. If turning on and off doesnt get rid of the jam there is something stuck on one of the sensors..Goood Luck A

Flashing Light

Hopefully just has a jam. Usually people miss them under the process unit (toner) or behind the paper tray. Pull all the way out and look. If you have really looked everywhere you probably have a sensor out of place or dirty.
from manual-- Attention - Flashing  A paper jam has occurred. The cassette is not inserted properly or the paper has run out.
also read page 22-27 in your manual for jam removal

Paper Jam Error

check the paper feed section of the printer. it may be item stuck in the paper path. causing the paper jam senor to stay on. also it know for these printer to have a waste in full. this will stop all workings of the printer. as these printer only have small waste ink pad in them. Need to know if the printer is flashing just green or if it flashing green led then a orange one.
