***Make sure the unit is unplugged first.*** There is a switch activated by the door as it opens and closed. It may have a couple screws on it. After removing the screws you will need to take a small flathead screwdriver and gently pry up on it and it will pop out. Make sure you have the new light switch in first if you plan on replacing it.

Ironfist109 the switch is located in a housing that covers and contains the t-stat lamp holder and switch I see no screws to remove the housing. I assume that it is a pry down but were to pry? and is there a pry lock? The unit model is ABB1921DEW bottom freezer.

Try sliding that housing towards the back to release it from the assembly.

There would not be a pry lock per say. It will be held in with some tabs. Sometimes you have to wedge that screwdriver in there if it is in there nice and tight.

I looked for a while so I could locate a diagram to make this easier. I found one. Your switch is #28 towards the top. Reply You will have to copy and paste the link into your browser.

Hi I bought a 1994 Camry this morning and the reverse lights don't work. It's not the bulbs or fuses.

In that model the wiring would sometimes fray and break where it enters the trunk (or boot) near the trunk lid hinge. Inspect the wiring bundle closely near the hinge for damage.

Otherwise the park/neutral switch, on the front side of the transmission, has developed a fault and should be tested. This switch also senses reverse position.

Internal light has failed. Tried new bulb without success. Bulb holder looks black/sooty

if the lampholder is black you will need to replace will be probably melted on the inside so force it or break it and put on a new one

Why won't freezer light come on?

Could be a dead bulb. Or if you have tried that, the lamp holder could be broken or have a broken wire to the light is not getting any power to it. Would have to pull it apart to check the lamp holder.

I cannot get the lightbulb to work

Check the voltage to the lamp, it this is absent then the door switch is faulty or there is a wire beak from the panel. If not the lamp or the lamp holder is a suspect.

I have a 2007 Hyundai Sonata and the brake lights (all of them) are not working. I checked the fuse and changed the brake bulbs. Do you have any other suggestions?

Check the following :
1. First of all check the fuse of the brake lamp circuit. use a multimeter to check the +12 volt or use a test lamp of 12 volts.
2. Check the brake lamp pressure switch which is mounted on the master cyclinder- brake pedal. check for connection fault , check for voltage on switch as it must contact when the brake is applied .
3. chek the line to the brake lamp/tail lamp assembly . Check the GROUND connection of the lamp unit, check the holders.
A voltage absence till the lamp end will confirm the area of fault.

Rear brake light out

First of all check the brake light fuse on the fuse box marked brake/rear lights.
Please use the voltmeter range in your multimeter to check for the voltage on your rear light assembly while the brake pedal is kicked. If there is supply then the lamp is faulty , the ground to the lamp assembly is faulty. remove the assembly and check holder of lamp .
If there is no voltage then the brake fluid pressure switch is faulty or there is break on the wire to the switch or to the rear assembly.

Sony VPL-EX3 projector on/off switch flashes green then turns red and the lamp/cover light is orange. Does this mean the lamp needs replacing or could it be caused by some other factors?

Possible that the lamp is faulty -if the hours have elapsed- check the lamp holder, the fitments.
check also the filters, clean and reset.
Make sure the power supply Unit is not having any poor soldering or faulty components to reduce the voltage output to the lamp thus making it shut down..

Fan works but light does not

Check the continutiy of the wire to the lamp holder and you will be able to find if there is a wire break, a fused lamp or a bad lamp holder. If the holder is not receiving power , the check if the switch is working fine, if the remote is faulty, in which case the pads must be checked cleaned or replaced. It will not be difficult but all you need is to trace the line voltage. Before the unit is pulled out manually switch the lamp from the main circuit and only if it does not work do you need to check on the combination unit. I hope you try this out. Good day

Where is bulb located

The lamp assembly is usually housed in a metal holder which can be located behind a removable cover at the rear of your set. The lamp assembly is a high intensity halide lamp with integral parabolic reflector unit. Some later models permit user access to lamp holder via an access cover, earlier units required access to the set's internals by qualified personel.

Refrigerator lamp will not come on

If the voltage is there regardless of activating the door switch or not then the problem is almost certainly in the switch, Here is the link for the user manual for your machine if you need it; See if you can figure out how to get access to the switch (unplug it first please)- sorry the pictures aren't good enough for me to see how -it may just pull out of where it is, or you may have to unscrew or unclick a panel or two. If there is damage to the switch, it would usually be obvious due to burn marks or distortion of the plastic, not necessarily on the bit you can see though - there may be a loose wire that is causing the problem, but usually the switch itself has committed suicide. I have not been able to find what the voltage should be in the bulb socket, each country has different arrangements, I am assuming that from the rating on the bulbs 30v is what you should be getting? - do you also have 30v at the freezer lamp socket? does the freezer bulb work in the fridge? (it may seem slightly dimmer - it should be half the wattage) this might indicate if there is a problem (possibly slight distortion from heat in the socket) that is preventing the bulb from connecting properly. Hope this helps, I bet on the switch. If you are struggling to access it, if you could post a couple of photos of the area concerned and the back/top/inside of the fridge then I hope we can help you. the switch may be repairable, but any fridge repair shop should be able to find one that will do the job, else contact samsung (page 14 in the manual) :)
