Question about HP DeskJet F380 All-In-One Printer

1 Answer

I have a iPad 2 with the Airprint capability to print documents, web pages, photos, etc to my HP Deskjet F380 All-in-One. When I select to print something, the printer is found, but a username & password login bog appears. Hmmm, I don't know where to look for this username & password so I can proceed to use this feature. Any ideas on where to begin to snoop around for this solution? Thanks in Advance.

It could be that you need to enter the password for the network - the password that the router uses. Or, maybe it is a username and password for the iPad itself, so that it blocks others from getting ahold of your iPad and using functions like the Airprint and others that you wouldn't want them doing.

Epson xp 245 how will connected with apple I pad

I'm not too familiar with XP245. If it's an AirPrint printer it's no problem. If it's AirPrint you just select your document on your iPad to print and if your iPad recognizes the AirPrint printer it prints immediately. If it's not AirPrint, I'm not real sure about all the info and don't want to tell you wrong, but if you check the Apple website you can probably find the needed information.

Here is a solution to add the ipad to your printer.
Follow the below steps to add:
·You have checked the latest version of iOS on your iPad.
·You have to connect the iPad to the wireless network by using the network name and password.
·You have AirPrint enabled printer.
·Now days the Air Print is built into most of the popular printer models. To check if your wireless printer is supported, you can view the list of Air Print enabled printers on Apple's website.
·You have a printer is connected to the same network as your iOS device or Mac. Your iPad won't recognize your printer.
·After turning on your printer, wait a few moments before printing from iPad or iPhone. Some printers take a minute or two after powering up before joining your network.
·You have to setup printer on iPad correctly to open the printer's software on your computer and look for a check box saying "Enable AirPrint."
·You can only use AirPrint with iOS core programs, such as Safari, Mail, Pages, and Photos, you can be print items like emails, photos, documents and WebPages directly from your iPad.
·Click the action icon button located on the top bar of the program screen that looks like a rectangle with an arrow coming out.

How can I print to canon pixma8120 from iPad?

Apple have their own proprietary printing protocol called 'AirPrint'. Only a few printers support it at present - HP is one of those that do and you can see if your model is on the list at the Apple web site

Apple - iPad - Print right from your iPad with AirPrint.

Canon also has an iPad app that works.
Search for Canon iEPP Easy Photo Print in the App store.

Otherwise you can use a program called FingerPrint - free trial available & $10 only to register.

Thanks Mark

How can i use my hp laserjet p1120w with my iPad by airprint

AirPrint lets you print wirelessly to AirPrint-capable printers. Make sure you have an AirPrint-capable printer.

AirPrint-capable printers don't require printer software; they just need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPad.
If you're not sure whether your printer is AirPrint-capable, refer to its documentation or contact their support.

Here are the steps.

1. Tap (the back arrow) or (the forward arrow) (depending on the app you're using), then tap Print.
2. Tap Select Printer to select a printer.
3. Set printer options, such as number of copies and double-sided output (if the printer supports it). Some apps also let you set a range of pages to print.
4. Tap Print.

When you open the printer control panel, is there a queue of documents waiting to be printed? If so, delete/cancel all documents, check to make sure it is set to use printer offline (in the file menu), and then try printing a test page.
