The knob adjusts the outlet air pressure. One gauge shows tank pressure and the other is your outlet pressure. The pressure is changed by turning the knob (generally counter-clockwise to reduce pressure) Pressure requirements differ depending on the tools you are running. Most air tools will list a Maximum Operating Pressure on them or in the manual.

I know what knobs on my world clock adjust what. I don't know however what the outer rim of numbers means exactly. Is it suppose to be hours ahead or behind or is suppose to be what time it is in 24 hour...

If the outer rim of numbers goes from 13 to 24, then yes, those numbers are for determining the time in 24hour format. For example, if it's 5:30 PM where you are, then the outer number would be 17, indicating that in 24 hour format (or in military time) the time is 17:30.
For different locations around the world, you would either have to adjust the number the hour hand is pointing to or ignore that clock hand and read the hour from another source.
If there is an outer ring around the dial that you can rotate manually, then it is for setting time in other time zones and you would use the numbers on the rotating ring instead of the numbers that have "12" at the top.

Stitch length shorter than dial says that it is how do I adjustable it correctly?

I don't know your machine type but what I'm going to tell you is universal:
1. Take the knob off. 2. Without the knob on turn the dial all the way until the dial stops. It would be set to zero; probably counter clockwise. 3. Replace the knob to where the knob would be pointing towards zero.

I don't know how to adjust my night vision. There are 2 buttons on the side, one is the power and the other says IR. There are 2 dial knobs on it and I have no idea what either one does. Would you...

The other will say IR. which mean infrarad lumina. Don't look at the red light in the small tube at the front of this NV when it's on--Famous Trails end FT1200. Atleast the letters were stamped in english, it could have been Red Star.

One more here dude! Please don't look at bright light at night and never use it during the day, if so it will die and disappear to the bright Red Star...stewbison

Is the dial to adjust temp coldest set at low numbers or high number?

The dial inside the fresh food compartment, the bottom compartment
set to middle or above (higher numbers mean colder). Usually 5 to 9 if it has numbers.

Freezer knob in the middle if it has one. (If you set a freezer knob to "colder" it cuts
off the cold air to the lower compartment). Hope this helps

I have a seiko chonograph couturo alarm. 100m

Many of the Seiko Chronographs have the same setting options (mine is the lightweight "Titanium Sports").

First off, the alarm dial must show the same time as the actual main dial. If not you must adjust this first.

Pull the knob at number 4 position on the watch face out, until you feel two distinct notches/clicks (around 0.5mm travel) and the alarm will make a shrill buzzing for about 1 second.

Now turn the #4 knob to move the small alarm dial at the #6, to be the same as the actual time displayed on the main face, and press the #4 knob fully back in. This sets the alarm and the main time to the same ....er....time. You do not need to do this again, unless you adjust for daylight saving times during summer/winter.

Now you can set the alarm chime point.

Pull the #4 knob out again, but just one click. You should hear one ping from the alarm. Now press the button at #8 position. It will move the small alarm hands by 1 minute intervals, and if you keep it held in, the dial spins around quickly. This allows you to adjust the time the alarm will chime.

When you've got the alarm time and it's chime point set, leave the #4 knob at one click out.

If you wish to switch the alarm off simply press the #4 knob back in, and the alarm dial will spin around to the same time as the main dial.To re-enable the alarm pull the #4 out one click again. It's quite simple once you get the hang of it.

Height adjustment not adjusting

The height adjustment wont engage unless the handle is in the down position. Not knowing this led me to overturn the hight adjustment knob.

Step on the handle release, pull the handle back and lay the vac on its side. Then you can get the knob and the plate back together again.

BTW, the reason I had this problem is because the front brush slows dramatically when using on carpet, I thought it was set too low, and turned the knob (in a manly fashion, putting it past its limit). Still working on that one. After inspecting the belt, looks like one worn and cracked spot gumming up the works.

What numbers are the knobs supposed to be set on?

Flannel is a light - mid weight fabric. If your tension dial goes to 8 , set your tension between 3-5ish. Try that and just tweak it to either side to get a smooth stitch on either side of yhour fabric.

On the gas valve, look for a marking that indicates "Pilot". If there is no such marking, you do not have a pilot and the system is electronic ignition. Ok so if you find the pilot position, you will be able to turn a know to that position and depress the knob into the gas valve. At the same time you are depressing the knob, look for a red button that snaps when you depress it. This is a Pizo starter. If you do not have this button, look for a viewing port where you can insert a long match. Once you have the knob depressed and the viewing port open if needed) you should be able to light the pilot with the snapper or match. Before you release the knob on the gas valve, sing "Yankee Doodle". This will give the flame enough time to heat up a probe to the proper temperature and the flame should stay on. Button up any port you opened and then turn the gas valve knob to the "On" position.
