Well you would just have to buy a new gamepack then it happens alot with the older gamepacks the battery that allows to to save the game data is dead now.

Pokemon yellow not working for me but all of the other guys are find then.

Well its because it is a broken gamepack thats why. To fix a broken gamepack you would need to figure out which piece is broken to it and then find the repacement parts somehow to fix it. But it would be easier to buy a new gamepack than to fix the old one.

How do you fix a broken gamepack for gameboy color and the original gameboy then?

Well you would have to take the gamepack apart and figure out which piece is broken and look for that certain piece that was broken for the gamepack and replaced it then. Might be more easier to buy a new gamepack than to fix the old one.

Can your Pokemon game still hold a save?

If your Game Boy game is no longer able to hold a save, yet can still be played fine, that most likely means that the battery in the game cartridge has run out of energy.

You can easily replace this battery, restoring the cartridge's ability to store save data. This replacement can be performed for much less than the cost of buying a new game. You just need to purchase a new battery.

    **Basic soldering skills required**

    Materials:
    Soldering iron
    New 3 Volt Coin Cell Battery - CR2025 (165mAh) or CR2032 (220mAh)
    Adhesive tape
Fine tipped hemostat or needle-nosed pliers

    Flip over your cartridge.

    Locate Screw

Using a hemostat, needle-nosed pliers, or anything else that you can grip it with, unscrew this little screw by turning counter-clockwise.

Once the screw has been removed, turn cartridge over, slide the front cover downwards, and pull it off.

Now you can see the circuit board, and the battery that allows one of the chips to retain the game save data.

You can see that both Pokemon Red and Silver cartridges look very similar, except that the Silver circuit board has a crystal oscillator in the upper left-hand corner to control the passing of time in the game.

It freezes when i turn it on

Well it might be a broken gamepack then to fix a broken gamepack you need to take it apart and check and see if you can find that specific part thats broken on the gamepacks internals or just buy a new gamepack like that then.

My gameboy color game, Pokemon Crystal, recently had its internal battery die, and will not save anymore. Is there anywhere I can ship it to get it fixed for a reasonable price?

Well you can buy a new gamepack then like that from lukie games then.
It doesn't take much electricity to power the clock and memory to a satisfactory extent, but you are dealing with a small battery and a long period of time. After 5-7 years, the battery is expected to die. When the time comes for you (or if it already has), rather than getting a whole extra copy of the game (which is likely to be used, and its battery may not have much time left either, forcing you to repeat the process all over), it's possible to replace the save battery and start fresh. In this topic, I hope to explain how, and enable the reader to perform the operation on their own. So you could replace the battery inside of the gamepack too.
