The handle on the bathtub is constantly streaming water. Its' not a drip. It's coming from the spout but the handle, when you turn it, won't shut off. It's supposed to shut off when pushed all the way in. Help! Wasting money on water bill!

Try to identify the make of faucet. If you can identify manufacturer, go to Lowes, Home Depot or a plumbing supplier & get rebuild kit for faucet. Or if no id possible, Turn off main water supply to faucet & disassemble & bring to any of these places & they can hook you up with the correct parts needed to repair.

Hot water is very slow coming out spout. Cold water comes out fine with good pressure..

the anti scald is adjusted too low. its located under/behind the handle. it usually has am allen wrench head. remove the handle and adjust it all the all the way to hot that should fix it. on some models you can remove the entire thing, but on some that will cause the handle turn 360deg because in some models its also the stopping point of the handle. hope this helps

How do i stop a slow drip in a tub faucet?

A drip is caused by seepage from the water supply. Remember the water supply enters your home under pressure, so there must be a watertight seal holding back the incoming water when the faucet handle is in the OFF position. That seal is usually created by a washer pressed tightly against the faucet seat. Obviously, when the washer or the seat is not functioning properly, a little water can seep through and drip out of the faucet spout. To stop the drip, all you usually have to do is replace the washer or repair the seat.

We are getting a constant drip through the faucet when both taps are turned off. please advise solution

Hi mark stopfor...
Sounds like the sealing washers are in need of replacement.
Look under the sink and find the shut off valves to the faucet.
Shut off water, remove handles from faucet, then use a wrench to remove the insert that holds the sealing washers. Replace the washers with new ones that you will have to purchase and reassemble...that should solve your leaking faucets...

My tub spout constantly drips, is there adjustments to the valve seat or is there replacement parts needed ?, I have no paperwork for this. How does the control handle come off ? No visible set screws.

If you have a brand name faucet, there are parts available for them. Many of the generic faucets do not have parts available.
The screw to release the handle is often right in the center of the handle, under a cap that you will need to pry off with a sharp knife, I use my jack knife.
Then take out the screw and the handle will come off.
Then you often need to turn another cap off to get to the guts of the faucet.

Hopefully you can then go to a Home Depot or Lowes and compare to parts there and find replacement parts for your faucet. If you happen to have a Moen faucet you will need a special puller to get the cartridge out.

Cold Water Drips from Spout after shutting off

The spout's seal is not sealing off the water properly any longer. You can replace the seal if you are handy. It is a little tricky but comes with replacement instructions. You may be able to find the replacement part at Lowes or Home Depot. Regardless as to where it comes from, it has instructions. I hate to say this but I would rather replace the unit rather than trying to replace the seal. However, this type of unit is pricey and it is more cost effective to replace the seal. NOTE: Doing any plumbing work may require you to cut off the water supply to this unit. If you dont have shut off valves to this direct water supply, it may even require you to shut off the water to the home. Good luck.

When i turn the spout water is dripping out from

There are "o" rings between the spout and the body of the faucet that are getting worn and causing the leak. You need to replace the "o" rings. Shut off the water supply (both hot and cold), remove the handle, and then the spout should slide off exposing the "o" rings. You can get replacements at the hardware store. Put some vaseline on the "o" rings when you reassemble the faucet to keep the "o" rings from curling up and moving out of place. Good Luck.

Both spouts seem clogged

I have a Jura Impressa F7 that had the exact same issue. To solve it was pretty simple. Try and make a cup of coffee, and while the machine is trying to pump the coffee thru the spouts, grab the chrome handle on the spout and vigerously move it up and down rapidly. You should notice small grounds of coffee dislodge and follow the stream of coffee into your cup. If you do this a couple of times, you will be able to clear the trapped grounds within the spout. Hope it works for you as well as it worked for me.
