Question about Televison & Video
I cannot get a channel to play my son's videos even though it has the hook-ups in the front................How do I get the tv to video mode? I am using a universal remote and everything works exept to swicth to video. Please advise..............................Thanks, RLO
You need the original remote for that. Try "remote controls.com" and I believe they should have one. If not, let me know.

There may be a ratings lock in the dvd setup menu that is preventing certain ratings from playing. Go to the settings and check to see what level they are at and set them to an appropriate level. If it is a burned DVD it may not be finalized, or in a wrong format.

here's your answer............
after buying 2 universal remotes that salespeople reccommended and neither working with my dynex tv/dvd combo, i went to the dynex website. They reccommended a few that would work, the cheapest one being $30. But I figured if it worked it was worth it considering my dog ate the original. i tried setting it up without any luck so i called the dynex 1800 number. The guy told me that i needed to have the original remote in order to set up the universal remote! Why would I even need the universal remote if i had the original??? So basically, these combo tv's require the original remotes in order to use the dvd player. Universal remotes will only work the tv. SO.....save yourself time and money and order the original remote. Bestbuy.com has the dx-ltdvd22-09 original remote for $5. I just wish I had found out this before I had spent over $50 on 3 remotes that don't work.

i googled codes for the t.v., and also googled for remote codes, it took me all but 15 mins and i had both the remote code and also the t.v. code. It worked almost right away, thanks anyway, also you should consider the fact that if everybody knew how to get stuff for free, then you would`nt even have a site, i think it is ridiculous of you to be charging so much for one small piece of info, but i guess thats the way the cookie crumbles

Hook the cable tv signal directly from the wall to the tv,
then activate auto-memory. The tv should stop going thru the
channels once it finishes memory procedure.
