Question about Gateway VX 720 17" CRT Monitor
There is no way to clean the inside of the glass. The CRT is a completely sealed unit and unless there has been a malfunction, there should be nothing on the inside of the glass. The way CRT's work is a photon gun shoots electricity at the inside of the screen, which is coated with a layer of phosphur. this excites the phosphur and makes it glow with color, forming the picture that you see. Even if you could get at the inside of the glass, you wouldn't be able to clean it becuse you would wipe away the phosphur coating.
